R. F. Garcia Ruiz,Mark Bissell,Mark Bissell,Klaus Blaum,Andreas Ekström,Andreas Ekström,N. Frömmgen,Gaute Hagen,M. Hammen,Kai Hebeler,Jason D. Holt,Gustav R. Jansen,Gustav R. Jansen,Magda Kowalska,K. Kreim,Witold Nazarewicz,Witold Nazarewicz,Witold Nazarewicz,Rainer Neugart,Gerda Neyens,Wilfried Nörtershäuser,Wilfried Nörtershäuser,Thomas Papenbrock,Thomas Papenbrock,J. Papuga,Achim Schwenk,Achim Schwenk,J. Simonis,Klaus Wendt,Klaus Wendt,Deyan T. Yordanov,Deyan T. Yordanov +31 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the first measurements of the charge radii of 49,51,52Ca, obtained from laser spectroscopy experiments at ISOLDE, CERN.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spins, moments and charge radii of barium isotopes in the range 122–146Ba determined by collinear fast-beam laser spectroscopy☆
A. C. Mueller,F. Buchinger,W. Klempt,Ernst W. Otten,Rainer Neugart,C. Ekström,J. Heinemeier,J. Heinemeier +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, hyperfine structures and isotope shifts of barium isotopes in the mass range 122-146 have been measured in the atomic transition 6 s 2 1 S 0 →6 s 6 p 1 P 1 (5536 A ), utilizing collinear fast-beam laser spectroscopy at the ISOLDE facility at CERN.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nuclear charge radii of 7,9,10Be and the one-neutron halo nucleus 11Be.
Wilfried Nörtershäuser,D. Tiedemann,M. Zakova,Z. Andjelkovic,Klaus Blaum,Mark Bissell,R. Cazan,G. W. F. Drake,C. Geppert,Magda Kowalska,J. Krämer,A. Krieger,Rainer Neugart,R. Sánchez,Ferdinand Schmidt-Kaler,Z.-C. Yan,Deyan T. Yordanov,C. Z. Zimmermann +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the nuclear charge radii of ;{7,9,10,11}Be have been determined by high-precision laser spectroscopy using collinear and anticollinear laser beams.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of the spin and magnetic moment of 31Mg: evidence for a strongly deformed intruder ground state.
Gerda Neyens,Magdalena Kowalska,Deyan Yordanov,Klaus Blaum,P. Himpe,Peter Lievens,S. Mallion,Rainer Neugart,N. Vermeulen,Yutaka Utsuno,Takaharu Otsuka +10 more
TL;DR: Advanced shell-model calculations and the Nilsson model suggest that the I(pi)=1/2(+) ground state is a strongly prolate deformed intruder state, which plays a key role for the understanding of nuclear structure changes due to the disappearance of the N=20 shell gap in neutron-rich nuclei.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of forward neutrons from the break-up of the 11Li neutron halo
R. Anne,S.E. Arnell,R. Bimbot,H. Emling,D. Guillemaud-Mueller,P. G. Hansen,L. Johannsen,Björn Jonson,M. Lewitowicz,S. Mattsson,A.C. Mueller,Rainer Neugart,Göran Hugo Nyman,F. Pougheon,Achim Richter,K. Riisager,M. G. Saint-Laurent,G. Schrieder,O. Sorlin,K. Wilhelmsen +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the cross-sections and forward angular distributions of fast neutrons have been studied for the reaction (11Li, 9Li) at 29 MeV/u on targets of Be, Ni and Au.
