A Fermi Gamma-Ray Burst Monitor Search for Electromagnetic Signals Coincident with Gravitational-wave Candidates in Advanced LIGO's First Observing Run

Eric Burns, +1249 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for prompt gamma-ray counterparts to compact binary coalescence gravitational wave (GW) candidates from Advanced LIGO's first observing run (O1) is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal ions and organic dyes sorption applications of cellulose grafted with binary vinyl monomers

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorbent Cell-g-AASO3H-co-GMA was synthesized through grafting of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid and binary comonomer glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) using potassium persulfate (KPS) as free radical chemical initiator and NMBA as crosslinker onto the cellulose extracted from agricultural waste rice husk.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cuo–sno2 element as hydrogen sulfide gas sensor prepared by a sequential electron beam evaporation technique

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrical properties of the thin film element were studied by a two-probe method in the temperature range 110 −220°C, and it was observed that the resistance decreases by several thousand times.
Journal ArticleDOI

M protein conserved region antibodies opsonise multiple strains of Streptococcus pyogenes with sequence variations in C-repeats.

TL;DR: It is shown that antibodies raised against J14 are capable of opsonising 37 GAS isolates representing different emm types derived from a region in which GAS infection is endemic and that J14 antisera is capable ofOpsonising GAS isolate containing J14 homologues but not J14-specific sequences, further increasing the strain coverage of this vaccine candidate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diosgenin: An Updated Pharmacological Review and Therapeutic Perspectives

TL;DR: This review aims to provide an overview of the in vitro, in vivo, and clinical studies reporting the diosgenin's pharmacological effects and to discuss the safety issues.
