Journal ArticleDOI

Surfactant mediated interaction of vancomycin with silver nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, spherical AgNPs have been synthesized by chemical reduction method in the presence of different surfactants i.e. trisodium-citrate and polyvinylpyrrolidone.
Journal Article

Technetium-99m-HMPAO SPECT cerebral blood flow study in children with craniosynostosis.

TL;DR: This study establishes the presence of cerebral hypovascularity in craniosynostoses and suggests that early surgery and release of craniostenosis is essential to achieve optimum perfusion and brain development.

Method and apparatus for providing a scalable multi-camera distributed video processing and visualization surveillance system

TL;DR: In this article, a scalable architecture for real-time multi-camera distributed video processing and visualization is presented, which includes at least one video capture and storage system for capturing and storing a plurality of input videos, at least vision based alarm system for detecting and reporting alarm situations or events, and at least video rendering system (e.g., a video flashlight system) for displaying an alarm situation in a context that speeds up comprehension and response.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of novel 4-functionalized 1,5-diaryl-1,2,3-triazoles containing benzenesulfonamide moiety as carbonic anhydrase I, II, IV and IX inhibitors

TL;DR: The membrane bound isoform hCA IV, involved in glaucoma and retinitis pigmentosa among others, was effectively inhibited by some of the new sulfonamides, which possess thus the potential to be used as tools for exploring in more details the selective inhibition of hCAs involved in various pathologies.
