Nanoclusters of GPI-anchored proteins are formed by cortical actin-driven activity.
Debanjan Goswami,Kripa Gowrishankar,Sameera Bilgrami,Subhasri Ghosh,Riya Raghupathy,Rahul Chadda,Ram A. Vishwakarma,Madan Rao,Madan Rao,Satyajit Mayor +9 more
TL;DR: A unique mechanism of complexation of cell-surface molecules regulated by cortical actin activity is suggested, with a nonrandom spatial distribution of nanoclusters, concentrated in optically resolvable domains.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transbilayer Lipid Interactions Mediate Nanoclustering of Lipid-Anchored Proteins
Riya Raghupathy,Riya Raghupathy,Anupama Ambika Anilkumar,Anupama Ambika Anilkumar,Anirban Polley,Anirban Polley,Parvinder Pal Singh,Mahipal Yadav,Charles D. Johnson,Sharad B. Suryawanshi,Varma Saikam,Sanghapal D. Sawant,Aniruddha Panda,Aniruddha Panda,Zhongwu Guo,Ram A. Vishwakarma,Madan Rao,Madan Rao,Satyajit Mayor +18 more
TL;DR: It is shown that transbilayer interactions are necessary for the generation of cholesterol-dependent nanoclusters of GPI-anchored proteins mediated by membrane-adjacent dynamic actin filaments, and it is found that long saturated acyl-chains are required for forming G PI-anchor Nanoclusters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal-free domino one-pot protocols for quinoline synthesis
Jaideep B. Bharate,Jaideep B. Bharate,Ram A. Vishwakarma,Ram A. Vishwakarma,Sandip B. Bharate,Sandip B. Bharate +5 more
TL;DR: All contributions till March 2015 are surveyed with particular emphasis on metal-free domino reactions for quinoline ring construction and are discussed herein along with mechanistic aspects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Natural alkaloids as P-gp inhibitors for multidrug resistance reversal in cancer
TL;DR: The present review provides a comprehensive account on natural alkaloids possessing P-gp inhibition activity and their potential for multidrug resistance reversal in cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal-Free Oxidative Amidation of 2-Oxoaldehydes: A Facile Access to α-Ketoamides
Nagaraju Mupparapu,Shahnawaz Khan,Satyanarayana Battula,Manoj Kushwaha,Ajai Prakash Gupta,Qazi Naveed Ahmed,Ram A. Vishwakarma +6 more
TL;DR: A novel and efficient method for the synthesis of α-ketoamides, employing a dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)-promoted oxidative amidation reaction between 2-oxoaldehydes and amines under metal-free conditions is presented.
