Journal ArticleDOI
Differentiation of Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme from Radiation Necrosis after External Beam Radiation Therapy with Dynamic Susceptibility-weighted Contrast-enhanced Perfusion MR Imaging
Ramon F. Barajas,Jamie S. Chang,Mark R. Segal,Andrew T. Parsa,Michael W. McDermott,Mitchel S. Berger,Soonmee Cha +6 more
TL;DR: Findings suggest that DSC perfusion MR imaging may be used to differentiate recurrent GBM from EBRT-induced radiation necrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distinguishing Recurrent Intra-Axial Metastatic Tumor from Radiation Necrosis Following Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Using Dynamic Susceptibility-Weighted Contrast-Enhanced Perfusion MR Imaging
Ramon F. Barajas,Jamie S. Chang,Penny K. Sneed,Mark R. Segal,Michael W. McDermott,Soonmee Cha +5 more
TL;DR: The findings of this study suggest that perfusion MR imaging may be used to differentiate recurrent intra-axial metastatic tumor from gamma knife−induced radiation necrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Current and potential imaging applications of ferumoxytol for magnetic resonance imaging
Gerda B. Toth,Csanad Varallyay,Andrea Horváth,Mustafa R. Bashir,Peter L. Choyke,Heike E. Daldrup-Link,Edit Dósa,J.P. Finn,Seymur Gahramanov,Mukesh G. Harisinghani,Iain C. Macdougall,Alexander J. Neuwelt,Shreyas S. Vasanawala,Prakash Ambady,Ramon F. Barajas,Justin S. Cetas,Jeremy N. Ciporen,Thomas J. DeLoughery,Nancy D. Doolittle,Rongwei Fu,John Grinstead,Alexander R. Guimaraes,Bronwyn E. Hamilton,Xin Li,Heather L. McConnell,Leslie L. Muldoon,Gary M. Nesbit,Joao Prola Netto,David Petterson,William D. Rooney,Daniel Schwartz,Laszlo Szidonya,Edward A. Neuwelt,Edward A. Neuwelt +33 more
TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to describe the general and organ-specific properties of ferumoxytol, as well as the advantages and potential pitfalls associated with its use in magnetic resonance imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffusion-weighted MR imaging derived apparent diffusion coefficient is predictive of clinical outcome in primary central nervous system lymphoma.
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that ADC measurements within contrast-enhancing regions of PCNSL tumors may provide noninvasive insight into clinical outcome, and an inverse correlation between cellular density and ADC measurements was observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
CXCL13 plus interleukin 10 is highly specific for the diagnosis of CNS lymphoma
James L. Rubenstein,Valerie S. Wong,Cigall Kadoch,Hua Xin Gao,Ramon F. Barajas,Lingjing Chen,S. Andrew Josephson,Brian J. Scott,Vanja C. Douglas,Mekhala Maiti,Lawrence D. Kaplan,Patrick A. Treseler,Soonmee Cha,Jimmy Hwang,Paola Cinque,Jason G. Cyster,Clifford A. Lowell +16 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated for the first time that elevated CXCL13 concentration in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is prognostic and that CXC chemokine ligand and IL-10 mediate chemotaxis of lymphoma cells isolated from CNS lymphoma lesions.
