Journal ArticleDOI

Human RNase3 immune modulation by catalytic-dependent and independent modes in a macrophage-cell line infection model

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that overexpression of macrophage endogenous RNase3 protects the cells against infection by Mycobacterium aurum and the human respiratory syncytial virus and modulates the macrophages defence against infection in both catalytic-dependent and independent manners.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective cleavage of ncRNA and antiviral activity by RNase2/EDN in THP1-induced macrophages

TL;DR: In this article , the authors showed that RSV induced RNase2 expression, which significantly enhanced cell survival, and provided evidence of its cleavage selectivity on ncRNAs, which was confirmed in vitro using the recombinant protein.
Journal ArticleDOI

Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis Identifies Key Modules and Hub Genes Associated with Mycobacterial Infection of Human Macrophages.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors performed weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) to identify key macrophage modules and hub genes associated with mycobacterial infection.
