Abstract: A method is provided including receiving, by a user equipment, a signal either before or during a paging occasion comprising an indication indicating whether the user equipment is to skip decoding of at least one subsequent channel of a plurality of subsequent channels associated with a paging message. The plurality of subsequent channels include: a first channel carrying downlink control information for the paging message, and a second channel carrying the paging message. In response to the indication indicating that the user equipment is to skip decoding of the at least one subsequent channel, skipping decoding of the at least one subsequent channel.

TL;DR: In this paper, the paging mes-sage comprises, for each terminal device, at least a paging identifier, and each paging response is decod-ed based on a pre-defined transport block size of N bits, where N is a positive in-teger with N < 88.
Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided an access node comprising means for performing the following. The access node causes transmitting a paging message to at least one terminal device associated with a data payload. The paging mes-sage comprises, for each terminal device, at least a paging identifier. The access node also causes transmitting a resource allocation grant to at least some of the terminal device. Each resource allocation grant defines an allocation at least for uplink resources. The access node decodes, in response to receiving one or more paging responses on the uplink resources, each paging response based on the one or more pre-defined transport block sizes. At least one paging response is decod-ed based on a pre-defined transport block size of N bits, where N is a positive in-teger with N < 88.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a method to enable the terminal device to save power, time, and resources by bypassing a full random access procedure when the transmission configuration is needed to be changed.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to communications with preconfigured uplink resources (PUR) A method implemented at a terminal device comprises identifying a need to change a transmission configuration of the terminal device, the terminal device being in a transmission mode with a set of preconfigured uplink resources (PURs) allocated for the terminal device to transmit user data to a network device; and in response to identifying the need to change the transmission configuration, transmitting control information to the network device using a first PUR in the set of PURs, the control information comprising information relevant to the change of the transmission configuration In this way, it is possible to enable the terminal device to save power, time, and resources by bypassing a full random access procedure when the transmission configuration is needed to be changed

TL;DR: In this article, an apparatus consisting of at least one processor, one memory, and one program code is configured to at least send (550) position information to a network node of a communication network and receive (570) the positioning support from the communication network in response to the at least signal configuration.
Abstract: Apparatus, methods and computer program products for user equipment positioning solutions and related signalling. An apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code are configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the apparatus to at least send (550), to a network node of a communication network, at least one signaling configuration with at least one set periodicity, wherein the at least one signaling configuration is for use at the network node in calculating at least position information for relaying to the communication network at least for positioning support of the apparatus, and receive (570) the positioning support from the communication network in response to the at least one signaling configuration.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method, a device and a computer readable medium for resource information for early data transmission is provided, where resource information is transmitted in a secured signaling with minimum impacts for the terminal device energy consumption.
Abstract: A method, a device and a computer readable medium for resource information for early data transmission are provided. Resource information for initiating EDT between a terminal device and a network device is transmitted in a secured signaling with minimum impacts for the terminal device energy consumption. Only the authorized terminal device obtains the resource. The consumption of signaling is reduced.

TL;DR: In this paper, the power consumption of an in-coverage terminal device is reduced by optimizing the paging time for the out-of-covering terminal device, and the second configuration associated with discontinuous reception is transmitted to the further terminal device.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to discontinuous reception configuration. A method comprises determining, at a terminal device, a first configuration associated with discontinuous reception based on parameters related to the configuration receiving from a network device, the first configuration at least indicating a first time interval of the discontinuous reception for the terminal device; determining, based on the first configuration, a second configuration associated with discontinuous reception of a further terminal device, the second configuration at least indicating a second time interval of the discontinuous reception for the further terminal device, the second time interval having an offset from the first time interval; and transmitting the second configuration associated with discontinuous reception to the further terminal device. In this way, the power consumption of in-coverage terminal device is reduced by optimizing the paging time for the out-of-coverage terminal device.

TL;DR: In this paper, a base station broadcasts a signal indicating that at least one time-frequency region, unused by a data transmission in a first radio access technology, is available for a transmission, allowing the base station to maintain support for and/or extending coverage of certain legacy user equipment.
Abstract: Method, apparatus and computer program product where a base station broadcasts a signal indicating that at least one time-frequency region, which is unused by a data transmission in a first radio access technology, is available for a transmission, allowing the base station to maintain support for and/or extending coverage of certain legacy user equipment. Such a transmission includes system information for a second radio access technology, wake-up signal, synchronization signal, and/or extension of the data transmission. Thereafter, the base station transmits such a transmission in the at least one time-frequency region that was indicated.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method, device and computer readable medium for early data transmission are disclosed, where the network device may decode more than one data packets with different TBSs for early-data transmission.
Abstract: A method, device and computer readable medium for early data transmission are disclosed. According to the method, the network device may decode more than one data packets with different TBSs for early data transmission, so that more than one terminal device succeed in the contention resolution when each of the terminal devices transmit different data packet with different TBSs for EDT transmission, thereby the signaling being reduced.
