TL;DR: This paper proposes a method of developing a comprehensive embedded class attendance system using facial recognition with controlling the door access using Raspberry Pi, which has 95% accuracy with the dataset of 11 person images.
Abstract: We are living in a world where everything is automated and linked online. The internet of things, image processing, and machine learning are evolving day by day. Many systems have been completely changed due to this evolve to achieve more accurate results. The attendance system is a typicalexample of this transition, starting from the traditional signature on a paper sheet to face recognition. This paper proposes a method of developing a comprehensive embedded class attendance systemusing facial recognition with controlling the door access. The system is based on Raspberry Pi thatruns Raspbian (Linux) Operating System installed on micro SD card. The Raspberry Pi Camera, as well as a 5-inch screen, are connected to the Raspberry Pi. By facing the camera, the camera will capture the image then pass it to the Raspberry Pi which is programmed to handle the face recognition by implementing the Local Binary Patterns algorithm LBPs. If the student’s input image matches withthetrained dataset image the prototype door will open using Servo Motor, then the attendance results will be stored in the MySQL database. The database is connected to Attendance Management Syste(AMS) web server, which makes the attendance results reachable to any online connected web browser. The system has 95{\% accuracy with the dataset of 11 person images.

TL;DR: There can be seen a huge growth in mobile payment methods globally beating both debit and credit card payments, all due to the convenience and security offered by them.
Abstract: The advent of e-commerce together with the growth of the Internet promoted the digitisation of the payment process with the provision of various online payment methods like electronic cash, debit cards, credit cards, contactless payment, mobile wallets, etc. Besides, the services provided by mobile payment are gaining popularity day-by-day and are showing a transition by advancing towards a propitious future of speculative prospects in conjunction with the technological innovations. This paper is aimed at evaluating the present status and growth of online payment systems in worldwide markets and also takes a look at its future. In this paper, a comprehensive survey on all the aspects of electronic payment has been conducted after analysis of several research studies on online payment systems. Several online payment system services, the associated security issues and the future of such modes of payment have been analysed. This study also analyses the various factors that affect the adoption of online payment systems by consumers. Furthermore, there can be seen a huge growth in mobile payment methods globally beating both debit and credit card payments, all due to the convenience and security offered by them. Nevertheless, various obstacles have been identified in the adoption of online payment methods; thus, some measures have to be taken for granting this industry a hopeful future. Thus, there should be a suitable trade-off between usability and security when designing online payment systems in order to attract customers. Also, technical and organisational issues which arise in the attempt to achieve interoperability must be taken into consideration by the designers. As a matter of fact, the process of developing interoperable and flexible solutions and universal standards is one of the most difficult tasks in the future ahead.

TL;DR: It was found that Laravel outperforms other MVC framework, hence Laravel is proposed as the most suitable PHP framework for future web technology.
Abstract: Commercial, social and educational importance of web technology has tremendously increased research activities in web programming/scripting. Several methods for writing PHP codes such as Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Procedural PHP coding and Model View Controller (MVC) pattern have been proposed. Model View Controller (MVC) which is one of the most powerful method for developing PHP application has many variant such Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, CakePHP etc. However, selection of best MVC framework among the variants is of concern to the programmers as well as project managers, especially when managing big applications. Hence, performance evaluation criterions are required. This paper discusses the MVC based most famous PHP frameworks, evaluate their performance and it was found that Laravel outperforms other MVC framework, hence Laravel is proposed as the most suitable PHP framework for future web technology.

TL;DR: This study proposes a method in early detection and diagnosis of PD by using the Multilayer Feedforward Neural Network (MLFNN) with Back-propagation (BP) algorithm, and shows that network can be used in diagnosis and detection of PD due to the good performance.
Abstract: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic neurological progressive disorder caused by lack of the chemical dopamine in the brain Up to today, there is still no cure or prevention for PD, and usually the disease worsens gradually over time However, this disease can be controlled with some treatment, especially in the early stage Hence, this study proposes a method in early detection and diagnosis of PD by using the Multilayer Feedforward Neural Network (MLFNN) with Back-propagation (BP) algorithm This MLFNN with BP algorithm is simulated using MATLAB software The dataset information used in this study was taken from the Oxford Parkinson's Disease Detection Dataset The output of the network is classified into healthy or PD by using K-Means Clustering algorithm The performance of this classifier was evaluated based on the three parameters; sensitivity, specificity and accuracy The result shows that network can be used in diagnosis and detection of PD due to the good performance, which is 833% for sensitivity, 636% for specificity, and 80% for accuracy

TL;DR: This chapter is devoted to a more detailed examination of game theory, and two game theoretic scenarios were examined: Simultaneous-move and multi-stage games.
Abstract: This chapter is devoted to a more detailed examination of game theory. Game theory is an important tool for analyzing strategic behavior, is concerned with how individuals make decisions when they recognize that their actions affect, and are affected by, the actions of other individuals or groups. Strategic behavior recognizes that the decision-making process is frequently mutually interdependent. Game theory is the study of the strategic behavior involving the interaction of two or more individuals, teams, or firms, usually referred to as players. Two game theoretic scenarios were examined in this chapter: Simultaneous-move and multi-stage games. In simultaneous-move games the players effectively move at the same time. A normal-form game summarizes the players, possible strategies and payoffs from alternative strategies in a simultaneous-move game. Simultaneous-move games may be either noncooperative or cooperative. In contrast to noncooperative games, players of cooperative games engage in collusive behavior. A Nash equilibrium, which is a solution to a problem in game theory, occurs when the players’ payoffs cannot be improved by changing strategies. Simultaneous-move games may be either one-shot or repeated games. One-shot games are played only once. Repeated games are games that are played more than once. Infinitely-repeated games are played over and over again without end. Finitely-repeated games are played a limited number of times. Finitely-repeated games have certain or uncertain ends.

TL;DR: The set-theory based rule is presented which combines a few feature selection methods with their collective strengths and the reduced model using about a half of the original full features performs better than the models based on individual feature selection method and achieves accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.
Abstract: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a menace that is affecting 10 percent of the world population and 15 percent of the South African population. The early and cheap diagnosis of this disease with accuracy and reliability will save 20,000 lives in South Africa per year. Scientists are developing smart solutions with Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this paper, several typical and recent AI algorithms are studied in the context of CKD and the extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) is chosen as our base model for its high performance. Then, the model is optimized and the optimal full model trained on all the features achieves a testing accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of 1.000, 1.000, and 1.000, respectively. Note that, to cover the widest range of people, the time and monetary costs of CKD diagnosis have to be minimized with fewest patient tests. Thus, the reduced model using fewer features is desirable while it should still maintain high performance. To this end, the set-theory based rule is presented which combines a few feature selection methods with their collective strengths. The reduced model using about a half of the original full features performs better than the models based on individual feature selection methods and achieves accuracy, sensitivity and specificity, of 1.000, 1.000, and 1.000, respectively.
