Journal ArticleDOI
Atomic-scale modeling of the effect of lipid peroxidation on the permeability of reactive species.
TL;DR: The results suggest that when the lipids are peroxidized, the peroxide group moves toward the membrane surface, which causes the membrane system to expand laterally and increase in area, which leads to apoptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Role of Extracellular Vesicles in Glioma Progression: Deciphering Cellular Biological Processes to Clinical Applications.
Rashmi Rana,Shikha Joon,Kirti Chauhan,Vaishnavi Rathi,Nirmal Kumar Ganguly,Chandni Kumari,Dharmendra Kumar Yadav +6 more
TL;DR: The present review describes the potential of EVbased biomarkers for glioma management and suggests EVs may serve as novel diagnostic biomarkers and efficient nanovehicles in the targeted delivery of encapsulated therapeutics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exploring the role of epidermal growth factor receptor variant III in meningeal tumors.
Rashmi Rana,Vaishnavi Rathi,Kirti Chauhan,Kriti Jain,Satnam Singh Chhabra,Rajesh Acharya,Samir Kumar Kalra,Anshul Gupta,Sunila Jain,Nirmal Kumar Ganguly,Dharmendra Kumar Yadav +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of epidermal growth factor receptor variant III (EGFR vIII) in meningioma is investigated and shown to be a predictor for survival and prognosis of the patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Plasma-Derived Extracellular Vesicles Reveal Galectin-3 Binding Protein as Potential Biomarker for Early Detection of Glioma
Rashmi Rana,Kirti Chauhan,Poonam Gautam,Mahesh J. Kulkarni,Reema Banarjee,Parul Chugh,Satnam Singh Chhabra,Rajesh Acharya,Samir Kumar Kalra,Anshul Gupta,Sunila Jain,Nirmal Kumar Ganguly +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors verified the galactin-3-binding protein (LGALS3BP) by ELISA in individual blood plasma and plasma-derived extracellular vesicles from control and glioma patients (n=40 each).
