Biocompatibility of gold nanoparticles and their endocytotic fate inside the cellular compartment: a microscopic overview.
TL;DR: The findings suggest that Au(0) nanoparticles are not cytotoxic, reduce the production of reactive oxygen and nitrite species, and do not elicit secretion of proinflammatory cytokines TNF-alpha and IL1-beta, making them suitable candidates for nanomedicine.

TL;DR: A library of GRP receptor-avid nanoplatforms is synthesized by conjugating gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with BBN peptides by providing unequivocal evidence that AuNP–BBN constructs are GRP-receptor-specific showing accumulation with high selectivity in GRP’s rich pancreatic acne in normal mice and also in tumors in prostate-tumor-bearing, severe combined immunodeficient mice.

Aptamer-controlled reversible inhibition of gold nanozyme activity for pesticide sensing
TL;DR: It is shown that the nanozyme activity of GNPs can be inhibited by its surface passivation with target-specific aptamer molecules, which may in principle be universally applicable for the detection of a range of environmental or biomedical molecules of interest.
