TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed the theme of freedom of religion and cults in Colombia and its evolution from the judgments of the Constitutional Court between 1991 and 2015, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Political Constitution of 1991.
Abstract: The article develops the theme of freedom of religion and cults in Colombia and its evolution from the judgments of the Constitutional Court between 1991 and 2015, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Political Constitution of 1991. Methodologically, the investigation was conducted in a deductive and historical-critical way, through the analysis of the right to freedom of religion and cults in the Inter-American and international system of human rights, ratified by the Congress of the Republic, as well as the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court around the right to religious freedom as an individual and collective expression. The results of the investigation showed that the evolution of these rights in the Colombian legal system is aligned with the legal and democratic transformations of the Constitution, and with the requirements of international organizations of human rights.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors address the importance of rejecting the idea that every efficient institution is a consistent result of a centralized political power intentionality, which could allegedly change the history by means of artificial tools avoiding historical and evolutionary processes of the social order in a particular space and time.
Abstract: This article addresses the importance of rejecting the idea according to which every efficient institution is a consistent result of a centralized political power intentionality. This intentionality could allegedly change the history by means of artificial tools avoiding historical and evolutionary processes of the social order in a particular space and time. Moreover, different ends pursued by actors involved could be even antagonistic among them but, as a whole, they could even be producing harmony and benefits to actors involved although the result may differ with respect to different ends individually pursued. To this purpose some of the main works of the following authors are analyzed: Friedrich. A. Hayek, Michael Polanyi, Mantzavinos, North, and Shariq. Conclusions are presented at the end of the article.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the role of social entrepreneurship in women's development and in building peace in Colombia and concluded that entrepreneurship alone is not enough; state involvement is also necessary if the effects of the work carried out by these women are to reach a greater number of people and be more durable, contributing to economic and social progress and therefore, to peace processes.
Abstract: The Colombian armed conflict is the oldest internal confrontation in the entire American continent and has placed Colombia as one of the countries in the world with the highest volume of internally displaced persons. There are many factors that influence the possibility of suffering violence in this situation, but one of the main factors is undoubtedly gender. In addition, the destruction of the productive fabric and the impoverishment of conflict zones are a difficult reality when it comes to undertaking initiatives. Women not resigning themselves to this state of affairs, by their own initiative, work to go from passive victims to survivors and agents of change. To achieve this, they hold on to social entrepreneurship as a possible vehicle and alternative for empowerment and personal development, the union with other women and the support of their families’ being crucial factors to reach this purpose. In this context, two research questions have been raised, related to the role of social entrepreneurship in women’s development and in building peace. These questions are answered by obtaining empirical data from key informants (seven personal interviews with Colombian women victims of the conflict from different departments who have promoted social entrepreneurship projects). The interviews were conducted from September to November 2019. Thus, one of the main conclusions is that entrepreneurship alone is not enough; State involvement is also necessary if the effects of the work carried out by these women are to reach a greater number of people and be more durable, contributing to economic and social progress and, therefore, to peace processes.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors study the factors that determine the organization of civil society under associative schemes within the framework of a local economic development paradigm in the Canal del Dique subregion.
Abstract: The main purpose of the study is to understand the factors that determine the organization of civil society under associative schemes within the framework of a local economic development paradigm in the Canal del Dique subregion. The research highlights the importance of civil society as key actors in the transformation of the territory. In the referred subregion, weaknesses were identified for the organization of civil society, associative schemes, which limits the possibility of obtaining common benefits based on the principles promoted by social capital; reciprocity, conflict management, solidarity, networking, among others. An analysis is carried out from the perspective of grassroots organizations, the local institutional, private sector and academia in order to establish the strategic objectives that guide the strengthening of associations in the subregion.
