Journal ArticleDOI
Translation position determination in ptychographic coherent diffraction imaging
Fucai Zhang,Isaac Peterson,Joan Vila-Comamala,Ana Diaz,Felisa Berenguer,Richard Bean,Bo Chen,Andreas Menzel,Ian K. Robinson,John M. Rodenburg +9 more
TL;DR: A method to retrieve and correct position errors during the image reconstruction iterations and improve both the quality of the retrieved object image and the position accuracy requirement while acquiring the diffraction patterns is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Room-temperature macromolecular serial crystallography using synchrotron radiation.
Francesco Stellato,Dominik Oberthür,Mengning Liang,Richard Bean,Cornelius Gati,Oleksandr Yefanov,Anton Barty,Anja Burkhardt,Pontus Fischer,Lorenzo Galli,Richard A. Kirian,Jan Meyer,Saravanan Panneerselvam,Chun Hong Yoon,Fedor Chervinskii,Emily M. Speller,Thomas A. White,Christian Betzel,Alke Meents,Henry N. Chapman +19 more
TL;DR: The room-temperature structure of lysozyme is determined using 40000 individual diffraction patterns from micro-crystals flowing in liquid suspension across a synchrotron microfocus beamline.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum: X-ray holography with a customizable reference
Andrew V. Martin,Adrian J. D’Alfonso,Fenglin Wang,Richard Bean,Flavio Capotondi,Richard A. Kirian,Emanuele Pedersoli,Lorenzo Raimondi,Francesco Stellato,Chun Hong Yoon,Henry N. Chapman +10 more
TL;DR: An attempt is made to quantify the importance of knowing the carrier and removal status of canine coronavirus, which can be a harbinger of disease in other animals and may be a source of infection in humans.
Journal ArticleDOI
Indications of radiation damage in ferredoxin microcrystals using high-intensity X-FEL beams
Karol Nass,Lutz Foucar,Thomas R. M. Barends,Elisabeth Hartmann,Sabine Botha,Robert L. Shoeman,R. Bruce Doak,Roberto Alonso-Mori,Andrew Aquila,Saša Bajt,Anton Barty,Richard Bean,Kenneth R. Beyerlein,Maike Bublitz,Nikolaj D. Drachmann,Jonas Lindholt Gregersen,H. Olof Jönsson,Wolfgang Kabsch,Stephan Kassemeyer,Jason E. Koglin,Michael Krumrey,Daniel Mattle,Marc Messerschmidt,Poul Nissen,Linda Reinhard,Oleg Sitsel,Dimosthenis Sokaras,Garth J. Williams,Stefan P. Hau-Riege,Nicusor Timneanu,Carl Caleman,Henry N. Chapman,Sébastien Boutet,Ilme Schlichting +33 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of local damage in serial femtosecond crystallography (SFX), Clostridium ferredoxin was used as a model system, and the electron density maps calculated from high-dose SFX and synchrotron data showed peaks at the iron positions of the clusters, indicative of decrease of atomic scattering factors due to ionization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time-resolved serial femtosecond crystallography at the European XFEL.
Suraj Pandey,Richard Bean,Tokushi Sato,Ishwor Poudyal,Johan Bielecki,Jorvani Cruz Villarreal,Oleksandr Yefanov,Valerio Mariani,Thomas A. White,Christopher Kupitz,Mark S. Hunter,Mohamed H. Abdellatif,Saša Bajt,Valerii Bondar,Austin Echelmeier,Diandra Doppler,Moritz Emons,Matthias Frank,Raimund Fromme,Y. Gevorkov,Gabriele Giovanetti,Man Jiang,Daihyun Kim,Yoonhee Kim,Henry Kirkwood,Anna Klimovskaia,Juraj Knoska,Faisal Hammad Mekky Koua,Romain Letrun,Stella Lisova,Luis Maia,Victoria Mazalova,Domingo Meza,Thomas Michelat,Abbas Ourmazd,Guido Palmer,Marco Ramilli,Robin Schubert,Peter Schwander,Alessandro Silenzi,Jolanta Sztuk-Dambietz,A. Tolstikova,Henry N. Chapman,Alexandra Ros,Anton Barty,Petra Fromme,Adrian P. Mancuso,Adrian P. Mancuso,Marius Schmidt +48 more
TL;DR: The results connect the previously explored femtosecond PYP dynamics to timescales accessible at synchrotrons, which opens the door to a wide range of time-resolved studies at the EuXFEL.
