Decision-making in a fuzzy environment

TL;DR: A reverse-flow technique is described for the solution of a functional equation arising in connection with a decision process in which the termination time is defined implicitly by the condition that the process stops when the system under control enters a specified set of states in its state space.
Book

Introduction to Matrix Analysis

TL;DR: In this article, the Second Edition Preface is presented, where Maximization, Minimization, and Motivation are discussed, as well as a method of Hermite and Quadratic Form Index.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adaptive Control Processes: A Guided Tour

TL;DR: Adaptive Control Processes: A Guided Tour as mentioned in this paper is a guidebook for guided tours of control processes, with a focus on adaptive control processes, and a description of the tour.
Journal ArticleDOI

On a routing problem

TL;DR: Given a set of N cities, with every two linked by a road, and the times required to traverse these roads, the functional equation technique of dynamic programming and approximation in policy space yield an iterative algorithm which converges after at most (N-1) iterations.
