TL;DR: Investigation of the relationships between blood pressure and 24-h urinary sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium in adult men and women of urban Bantu of Zaire indicates that age, body weight, pulse rate, sex and the sodium: potassium ratio contribute to the prediction of systolic and diastsolic blood pressure, while urinary calcium was only associated with diastolic pressure.

Diagnostic thresholds for the clinical use of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

TL;DR: D diagnostic thresholds for ambulatory monitoring were derived by averaging the 95th percentiles of the ambulatory blood pressure measurements in the normotensive subjects enrolled in various large-scale studies, and the evidence from prospective outcome studies supports the proposed thresholds.
