TL;DR: Though mean peripheral PRC was significantly elevated in the 19 sodium replete patients studied, when compared to nor-motensive subjects, there was no significant relation between logPRC and mean intra-arterial pressure, calculated total peripheral resistance index and cardiac index.

Subgroup analysis of the NORDIL trial.
TL;DR: Kjeldsen et al. as mentioned in this paper showed that the risk of the primary composite endpoint consisting of cardiovascular death, stroke and myocardial infarction was similar in hypertensive patients receiving the calcium-channel blocker diltiazem compared with conventional treatment based on diuretics and â-blockers.
