TL;DR: In this article, a survey was conducted among 351 employees from a number of organizations based in Poland and was performed using a computer assisted web interview (CAWI) to determine the relationship between organizational learning solutions at individual level and perceived employability in the modern labor market according to the workers' opinions.
Abstract: The challenges of the modern labor market determine increased job insecurity and the growing importance of sustainable employability. Today, in an era of the growth of the world’s knowledge resources, permanent learning is indispensable in order to maintain or strengthen one’s employability. Therefore, this article aims to determine the relationship between organizational learning solutions at the individual level and perceived employability in the modern labor market according to the workers’ opinions. Studies conducted on the subject literature confirm the lack of research in this field. A survey was conducted among 351 employees from a number of organizations based in Poland and was performed using a computer-assisted web interview (CAWI). The study’s results indicate that out of eleven analyzed solutions, people value those connected with sustainable actions the most, such as learning from one’s own mistakes (own mistakes), observing other employees’ work (observing others), self-education, incentive systems (contributing to an increase in the commitment to competency development), and providing employees with feedback on the results of their work (feedback). Moreover, it is important to state that EFA first revealed, and CFA subsequently confirmed, two factors: Factor 1, Practical Aspects, which includes organizational learning that covered such activities as incentive systems, feedback, self-education, modern technologies, and the use of case studies, and Factor 2, Active Learning, which consists of two activities—one’s own mistakes and observing others. The research results lead to the conclusion that Factor 1, Practical Aspects, had a significant impact on perceived employability, while Factor 2, Active Learning, did not have an impact on the general assessment of organizational learning in the context of perceived employability. The authors also present the diamond attempt toward actions that might be taken by organizations in order to enhance the employability of workers in general. The conducted research is considered to be idiographic and exploratory.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the process of creating an inventory for multidimensional research on students' quality of life, its structural and theoretical validity as well as reliability of the tool.
Abstract: An analysis of the literature on the quality of life and tools for its measurement revealed a gap in the field of research tools to study the quality of life of the so-called young adults. According to the theory of emerging adulthood, people aged 18–25 significantly differ from people of other age groups, including their self-perception. The aim of this article is to present the process of creating an inventory for multidimensional research on students’ quality of life, its structural and theoretical validity as well as reliability of the tool. Structural validity of Multidimensional Inventory of Students Quality of Life (MIS-QOL) is measured by three different indicators. Comparative fit index (CFI), PCLOSE and the root mean square error (RMSEA) show good or very good structural validity of every dimension and general score. Additionally, theoretical validity of general score measured as a correlation with commonly used questionnaires show correlation on level of 0.52 with somatic subscale of WHO, 0.631 with environmental subscale of WHO, 0.657 with Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), 0.703 with psychological subscale of WHO, and 0.786 with Quality of Life Scale (QOLS). Reliability of each dimension and general score measured by Cronbach alfa and split-half coefficients are above 0.7. The multidimensional construction of MIS-QOL allows researchers to compare acquired data with international research conducted by Eurostat or the OECD.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compare different quality of life variables in Poland and Russia using the G-Suit package and present definitional problems associated with the concept of QoS and define its various dimensions.
Abstract: The main purpose of the article is to compare different quality of life variables in Poland and Russia. The study presents definitional problems associated with the concept of quality of life and defines its various dimensions. The study reviews the subject literature applying a descriptive method as well as presents own empirical research. The research project was based on the surveys carried out among Polish students of the Cracow University of Economics and Russian students of the Saint – Petersburg State University of Economics. The research was carried out in the second quarter of 2018 using the G-Suit package. The researchbased questionnaire was conducted as a CSAQ (Computerized Self – Administered Questionnaire), a computer-based questionnaire where respondents were giving their answers directly. The collected data were analysed using the methods of single, double and multidimensional statistics and developed using the SPSS 25.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assess the needs of competencies in the Polish energy labor market as well as the trends among hard ad soft skills also in the context of renewable energy sources.
Abstract: It is because of competencies that there is a possibility of ensuring the strategic safety of each country when it comes to energy security. With the vast development of IT and teamwork, there are various competencies needed in the whole energy sector. The aim of this study is to assess the needs of competencies in the Polish energy labor market as well as the trends among hard ad soft skills also in the context of renewable energy sources. Within an exploratory approach, 245 job advertisements were analyzed using various tools, including general descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk, Kruskal–Wallis H and Mann–Whitney U tests, as well as Spearman’s Rho. The research confirmed that teamwork and MS Office are crucial demands of employers. It is also important that the market is diverse when it comes to competence demands, but soft skills are needed in every position, even purely technical ones.

TL;DR: In this paper , a two-wave longitudinal study, conducted in Italy, aimed to explore the predictiveness of individual and organizational factors on students' perceived employability and well-being.
Abstract: The COVID-19 outbreak has had a disruptive impact on the academic context and labor market. Indeed, the pandemic shock in such fields has been related to several changes with implications for young people’s careers and well-being. This two-wave longitudinal study, conducted in Italy, aimed to explore the predictiveness of some individual and organizational factors on students’ perceived employability and well-being. A total of 301 Italian students, aged between 18 and 33 (M = 20.63, SD = 1.99), completed a self-report questionnaire measuring career ambition, university reputation, university commitment, technostress related to technology-enhanced learning, perceived employability, and mental well-being at both time points. A path analysis showed that career ambition, university reputation, and organizational commitment positively predicted employability, which, in addition to such variables, positively affected well-being. In contrast, technostress was identified as a risk factor both for students’ perceptions of finding a job and for their well-being. These findings provide a theoretical contribution to a better understanding of the factors involved in undergraduates’ perceived employability and well-being. Moreover, they suggest the need to improve academic-related variables to enhance individuals’ resources in coping with the pandemic challenges.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed the scientific and methodological provision for evaluating the contribution of corporate social responsibility and social capital management into provision of quality of life of the population of a modern territory.
Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to develop the scientific and methodological provision for evaluating the contribution of corporate social responsibility and social capital management into provision of quality of life of the population of a modern territory. The authors also perform approbation of the developed scientific and methodological provision by the example (thematical research) of the city of Sevastopol (Russia, Southern Federal District). The authors determine structural components of quality of life of the population that are influenced by business’s showing corporate social responsibility and social capital management. Then modeling is conducted and contribution of corporate social responsibility and social capital management into provision of quality of life of the population by the example of the city of Sevastopol is assessed with the help of the method of regression and correlation analysis. As a result, the target values of the indicators of contribution of corporate social responsibility and social capital management of business for achievement of the preferable quality of life of the population of the city of Sevastopol are determined with the help of the simplex method. The authors develop the scientific and methodological provision for evaluating the contribution of corporate social responsibility and social capital management into provision of quality of life of the population modern territory, which is universal – i.e., it could be used by any business structure at any modern territory (not only by business structures of the city of Sevastopol). By the example of the city of Sevastopol it is shown that corporate social responsibility and social capital management of a business could influence the provision of quality of life of the population of a modern territory under the condition of targeted management.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the relationship between cultural adaptation, tourist satisfaction, and quality of life among Chinese immigrants in Korea and found that tourist satisfaction had a significant effect on tourist satisfaction.
Abstract: Given the rapidly increasing number of foreign nationals migrating to Korea, this study investigates the relationship between cultural adaptation, tourist satisfaction, and quality of life among Chinese immigrants in Korea. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 344 Chinese immigrants in Korea who visited Gyeongju, where Korean World Heritage sites and modern tourist facilities coexist. A structural equation model was used to verify the hypothesis and indicated that cultural assimilation and cultural separation had a significant effect on tourist satisfaction, whereas cultural integration and cultural change did not have any statistically significant effect on tourist satisfaction. Additionally, tourist satisfaction had a significant effect on quality of life (in terms of subjective well-being and psychological well-being). The results of this study can function as a reference for improving Chinese immigrants’ cultural adaptation, tourist satisfaction, and quality of life.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the role and the place of social indicators, objective and subjective ones, in achieving life satisfaction of the Romanian population during transition, focusing on the main factors with a decisive impact on the quality of life: the national economy, social state, community, and individuals performance in Romania compared with the European standards.
Abstract: Starting from the main components/dimensions of the quality of life, the paper aims an analysis the role and the place of social indicators, objective and subjective ones, in achieving life satisfaction of the Romanian population during transition. Thus, the study focuses on the main factors with a decisive impact on the quality of life: the national economy, social state, community, and individuals’ performance in Romania compared with the European standards. The paper underlines that despite the fact that within both national and European official statistics the range of ‘objective’ indicators for the quality of life are at the forefront of attention (see living standard, income, employment, etc.); the specific/proper indicators for the quality of life are the subjective ones. In fact, quality of life involves par excellence an evaluative structure. First, it supposes a set of indicators of state which record the actual characteristics at a given moment for all life dimensions, and second, a set of evaluation criteria in relation to which we may assess this state. From this perspective, the paper analyses some recent researches and statistical data of the national and international surveys related to individual general satisfaction with life. It is estimated based on subjective indicators regarding the overall positive experience life has as outcome, and the perceived quality of the basic components of life. In addition, the paper focuses on social policies in the period of Romanian transition with the great impact in life satisfaction. From this point of view, the evaluation process of social inclusion of vulnerable groups in post-communist Romania is relation with the main indicators of social justice. Therefore, as a conclusion, an analysis of the real state of the quality of life must take into account next to objective indicators of state (essential for the living conditions) also the subjective ones. In fact, they capture the reaction/perception of the population about the given socio-economic context (the subjective well-being). Subjective indicators emerge much more frequently in academic research analyses. Sometimes, as a rule, researches focused to happiness as an individual general satisfaction with life indicator. The human condition emerges thus as basic milestone and dimension for the quality of life.
