TL;DR: The HOS test does not appear to be sufficiently sensitive to discriminate between semen samples of intermediate fertility like those used in this preliminary research, and no significant correlation was observed between the percentage of swollen spermatozoa and in vitro fertility.

DNA barcoding as a reliable method for the authentication of commercial seafood products.

TL;DR: This paper uses DNA barcoding to genetically identify seafood samples that were purchased from various locations throughout Italy using a multi-locus approach to analyze the cob, 16S-rDNA and cox1 genes, and compared the authors' sequences to reference sequences in the BOLD and GenBank online databases.
