Sensitive determination of mercury in tap water by cloud point extraction pre-concentration and flow injection-cold vapor-inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry

TL;DR: In this paper, a pre-concentration and determination methodology for mercury at trace levels in water samples was developed, which was successfully applied to the determination of mercury in tap water samples, at pH 9.2 mediated by micelles of the nonionic surfactant polyethyleneglycolmono-p-nonylphenylether (PONPE 5).
Journal ArticleDOI

Simple approach based on ultrasound-assisted emulsification-microextraction for determination of polibrominated flame retardants in water samples by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry

TL;DR: A simple, efficient, innovative and environmentally friendly analytical technique was successfully applied for the first time for the extraction and preconcentration of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) from water samples, showing a successful robustness of the analytical methodology for determination of picogram per milliliter of PBDEs in water samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phenolic Composition in Grape (Vitis vinifera L. cv. Malbec) Ripened with Different Solar UV-B Radiation Levels by Capillary Zone Electrophoresis

TL;DR: A simple, accurate, and rapid method for the separation and simultaneous determination of representative phenolic compounds in grape berry skins by capillary zone electrophoresis was developed and showed the highest levels of total polyphenols anthocyanins, and resveratrol at this altitude.
Journal ArticleDOI

Room temperature ionic liquid-based microextraction for vanadium species separation and determination in water samples by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry.

TL;DR: A simple microextraction technique based on room temperature ionic liquids for trace V(IV) and V(V) species separation and preconcentration in water samples was developed and successfully applied for the speciation analysis of V in tap and river water samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gas chromatography/plasma spectrometry—an important analytical tool for elemental speciation studies

TL;DR: A review of the state-of-the-art of gas chromatography coupled to all known plasma spectrometers is presented in this article, with particular attention to the applications of these hyphenated techniques to the analysis of elemental species.
