TL;DR: In this article, a conceptual model of the decision support system (DSS) design process was developed and a knowledge base was developed to describe the interactiveness of various organization variables and managerial decision-making needs.
Abstract: Technology transfer is the process by which technology originating at one institutional setting is adapted for use in another. A major impediment to the implementation of new technologies to assist with mangerial decision-making problems is a lack of communication between the technology and management communities. Development of a tool designed to bridge the technology transfer gap was the goal of this research. The result is a prototype software package which may be used on an interactive computer terminal by a manager for assistance in designing a decision support system (DSS). The four primary research tasks were: 1. Develop a conceptual model of the DSS design process. 2. Select and adapt, or create, appropriate software to mechanize the model. 3. Develop a knowledge base to describe the interactiveness of various organization variables and managerial decision-making needs. 4. Collect and analyze interview data and implement resultant production rules on the model.

TL;DR: A comprehensive framework is presented, identifying a networked architecture in which different actors (universities, other R&D centers, consulting companies, the European Union, national government, local public administration) interact.
Abstract: The paper deals with technological and managerial innovation transfer to small and medium sized enterprises. A comprehensive framework is presented, identifying a networked architecture in which different actors (universities, other R&D centers, consulting companies, the European Union, national government, local public administration) interact. In so doing, the need of a specific promoting role is pointed out. Consequently, introduction of an innovation center (IC) responsible for the whole transfer process is proposed. Within this organizational unit, the role of innovation promoter (IP), that is the interface with the specific SME, is analyzed and discussed. Finally, a general scheme of IC and IP actions and competences is presented.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors integrate concepts of strategic management with economic policy to explain knowledge effects on firms and regions' competitive advantage, through an evaluation of the ample literature, they aim to rationalize the effects knowledge and entrepreneurship have on regional competitive advantage.
Abstract: In this article we integrate concepts of strategic management with economic policy to explain knowledge effects on firms’ and regions’ competitive advantage. A literature review allows us to create a framework that portrays the current state of research and future development. Through an evaluation of the ample literature we aim to rationalize the effects knowledge and entrepreneurship have on regional competitive advantage.

TL;DR: Results show that the current way of understanding KM facilitate its application to the design of teaching strategies, especially regarding the use of Information and Communication Technologies.
Abstract: Knowledge Management (KM) is an almost nonexistent topic in the pedagogical framework, which is paradoxical, given education’s affinity with the construction, conservation, assimilation, and dissemination of knowledge, especially regarding the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). A literature review of 103 studies about KM was undertaken in order to identify relationships with ICT and possible applications in higher education teaching practices. Results show that the current way of understanding KM facilitate its application to the design of teaching strategies.

TL;DR: Through the analysis of the patterns of specialization in SC, it´s shown that they have not accumulated their TCI and, as a result, there is a lack of competitiveness due to the limited adaptation to a competitive environment and satisfaction of market needs.
