Journal ArticleDOI

Stabilizing black phosphorus nanosheets via edge-selective bonding of sacrificial C 60 molecules.

TL;DR: It is shown that edge-selective functionalization of BP nanosheets by covalently bonding stable C60 molecules leads to its significant stability improvement and improved stability and enhanced photoelectrochemical and photocatalytic activities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrids of Fullerenes and 2D Nanomaterials.

TL;DR: An exhaustive review of all types of hybrids of fullerene and 2D nanomaterials, such as graphene, g‐C3N4, TMDs, h‐BN, and BP, including their preparations, structures, properties, and applications, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strain Release of Fused Pentagons in Fullerene Cages by Chemical Functionalization.

TL;DR: This work clarifies how the strain of fused pentagons can be released in different manners, and provides in-depth understanding of the role of fusedpentagons on the stability, electronic property and chemical reactivity of fullerene cage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybridizing MoS2 and C60 via a van der Waals heterostructure toward synergistically enhanced visible light photocatalytic hydrogen production activity

TL;DR: In this article, a van der Waals heterostructured MoS2-C60 hybrid was reported, which showed an exceptional visible light photocatalytic H2 production rate of 6.89mmolh−1/g−1.
Journal ArticleDOI

From Cubes to Dice: Solvent-Regulated Morphology Engineering of Endohedral Fullerene Microcrystals with Anomalous Photoluminescence Enhancement

TL;DR: For the first time, the synchrotron-based soft X-ray nano-computed tomography (Nano-CT) is used to unambiguously identify the interior microstructure of the dice-shaped crystals of Tb3N@C80, confirming that the dice has a solid center and the holes are not interconnected.
