Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a material having a high Tg and a wide energy gap. The present invention provides a spirofluorene derivative represented by General Formula 1. (In the formula, R1 is any one of hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a group represented by General Formula 2. Each of R2 and R3 is either hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and may be identical or different. R4 is an aryl group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms. Each of R5 and R6 is any one of hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an aryl group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms and may be identical or different.)

TL;DR: In this paper, two molecules of arylamine compounds are formed in such a way that two aryl groups are arranged in parallel, thereby forming a dimolecular body and that the dim molecular body is coordinated to metal oxide.
Abstract: The cluster is formed in such a way that two molecules of arylamine compounds in each of which two arylamines each having one phenyl group and two aryl groups bonded with a nitrogen atom form a bisphenyl bond through the respective phenyl groups are arranged in parallel, thereby forming a dimolecular body and that the dimolecular body is coordinated to metal oxide. The light-emitting element has a layer including the cluster. A manufacturing method thereof includes the steps of vaporizing simultaneously metal oxide and an arylamine compound in which two arylamines each having one phenyl group and two aryl groups bonded with a nitrogen atom form a bisphenyl bond through the respective phenyl groups under vacuum and solidifying simultaneously the vaporized metal oxide and arylamine compound.

TL;DR: In this article, a dual-sided emission display can be performed in one sheet white color light emitting panel in which different images can be displayed on a topside screen and backside screen (full color display, monochrome display or area color display).
Abstract: To provide an aspect of a novel display device using a light emitting element which is composed of a cathode, an EL layer and an anode, and a manufacturing device of the display device. According to the present invention, dual-sided emission display can be performed in one sheet white color light emitting panel 1001 in which, for example, different images can be displayed on a topside screen and backside screen (full color display, monochrome display or area color display). Two polarizing plates 1002, 1003 are formed by shifting the position thereof with an angular deviation of 90 degrees each other so as to prevent outside light from passing through the pane, thereby realizing a black display when not displayed.

TL;DR: In this article, a light emitting element with a layer which generates electrons between a first electrode and a second electrode is described, and the layer includes a phenanthroline derivative represented by the general formula (1) and a metal oxide.
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a light emitting element which can reduce defective operation due to crystallization of a compound. One of the light emitting elements of the present invention has a layer, which generates electrons, between a first electrode and a second electrode. The layer generating electrons includes a phenanthroline derivative represented by the general formula (1) and a metal oxide. The metal oxide shows an electron donating property to the phenanthroline derivative represented by the general formula (1). Herein, in the general formula (1), R1 to R5 individually represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a halogen group, and further at least one of R1 to R5 represents a halogen group.

TL;DR: In this article, the oxide semiconductor film has at least a crystallized region in a channel region, which is defined as a region of interest (ROI) for a semiconductor device.
Abstract: An object is to provide a semiconductor device of which a manufacturing process is not complicated and by which cost can be suppressed, by forming a thin film transistor using an oxide semiconductor film typified by zinc oxide, and a manufacturing method thereof. For the semiconductor device, a gate electrode is formed over a substrate; a gate insulating film is formed covering the gate electrode; an oxide semiconductor film is formed over the gate insulating film; and a first conductive film and a second conductive film are formed over the oxide semiconductor film. The oxide semiconductor film has at least a crystallized region in a channel region.

TL;DR: In this paper, a thin-film transistor (TFT) with a selectively crystallized channel layer and a method of manufacturing the TFT is presented, where the metal component can be injected into the channel layer by depositing and heat-treating a metal layer or by ion-implantation.
Abstract: Provided are a thin film transistor (TFT) including a selectively crystallized channel layer, and a method of manufacturing the TFT. The TFT includes a gate, the channel layer, a source, and a drain. The channel layer is formed of an oxide semiconductor, and at least a portion of the channel layer contacting the source and the drain is crystallized. In the method of manufacturing the TFT, the channel layer is formed of an oxide semiconductor, and a metal component is injected into the channel layer so as to crystallize at least a portion of the channel layer contacting the source and the drain. The metal component can be injected into the channel layer by depositing and heat-treating a metal layer or by ion-implantation.

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanism for carrier generation/separation at the intermediate connecting parts, which are interposed between emission units, has been examined, and a new intermediate connector has been proposed.
Abstract: In order to attain low drive voltage and high power conversion efficiency in tandem OLEDs, the mechanism for carrier generation/separation at the intermediate connecting parts, which are interposed between emission units, has been examined, and a new intermediate connector has been proposed. Voltage increase due to the provision of the new intermediate connector is minimized, and marked decrease in drive voltage of the tandem OLEDs has been attained.
