Tracking and maneuver regulation control for nonlinear nonminimum phase systems: application to flight control
S.A. Al-Hiddabi,N.H. McClamroch +1 more
TL;DR: A tracking controller, consisting of feedforward and static-state feedback, is designed to guarantee uniform asymptotic trajectory tracking and a maneuver regulation controller is obtained by introducing a suitable state projection that is related to the LQR feedback gains.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modeling and performance analysis of a solar desalination unit with double-glass cover cooling
TL;DR: In this paper, a single-basin solar still with the entering brine flowing between a double glass glazing is investigated, which resulted in improved performance represented by a faster rate of evaporation from the basin.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Quadrotor control using feedback linearization with dynamic extension
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a nonlinear position controller for a quadrotor VTOL aircraft using feedback linearization with dynamic extension, which completely decouples and linearizes the nonlinear dynamical model of the aircraft.
Journal ArticleDOI
Non-linear control of torsional and bending vibrations of oilwell drillstrings
TL;DR: In this article, a non-linear dynamic inversion control design method is used to suppress the lateral and the torsional vibrations of a nonlinear drillstring, and it was found that the designed controller is effective in suppressing the lognormal vibrations and reducing the lateral vibrations significantly.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanical Testing and Characterization of a Swelling Elastomer
TL;DR: Elastomers are being increasingly used for sealing and other applications in the oil and gas industry as mentioned in this paper, and specifically developed elastomers possess durable properties and have the ability to withstand extreme weather conditions.
