Abstract: Electric vehicles (EVs) pull in around the globe because it has a benefit of energy saving and environmental protection. High Penetration of Electric Vehicles in the world makes an additional demand on the power system at peak time. To overcome this problem, Smart Charging Station is designed for residential. At peak time the power required to charge Electric Vehicles is effectively handled by Grid connected PV generation and also Electric Vehicles acted as an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) based on Time of Use (TOU) Tariff. All control functions are done by the Raspberry Pi controller. The whole process monitored and controlled by using Internet of Things (IoT). The proposed control system and their control functions are done in MATLAB/SIMULINK.

Abstract: After environmental crisis, Electric Vehicles (EV) are the best alternative of the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicle But focusing only on EV is not only sufficient as Electrical Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) is equally important for deploying these vehicles Since these vehicles are electrically powered there are certain challenges in installing these charging stations Former major problem is grid overloading and load forecasting Latter is charging time and traffic-crowd management at charging stations This paper reviews about the basic terminologies of charging station like charging station types, levels To overcome these challenges, various technologies are discussed along with brief introduction of lithium ion batteries charging strategies and Battery Management System (BMS) Since, Indian Government is concentrating towards environmental friendly ecosystem and as per its mission to reduce carbon emission from the transport sector, deployment of EV's and installation of EVCS is the biggest concern Since, government has reduced the tax on EV's and providing subsidy for installing charging station, this is an easy task Hence, in this paper certain guidelines by the Ministry of Power and Ministry of Housing (Government of India) is discussed which can help an individual to set up a charging station at their end

Abstract: The application of Internet of Things (IoT) has been emerging as a new platform in wireless technologies primarily in the field of designing electric vehicles. To overcome all issues in existing vehicles and for protecting the environment, electric vehicles should be introduced by integrating an intellectual device called sensor all over the body of electric vehicle with less cost. Therefore, this article confers the need and importance of introducing electric vehicles with IoT based technology which monitors the battery life of electric vehicles. Since the electric vehicles are implemented with internet, an online monitoring system which is called Things Speak has been used for monitoring all the vehicles in a continuous manner (day-by-day). These online results will then be visualized in MATLAB after an effective boosting algorithm is integrated with objective function. The efficiency of proposed method is tested by visual analysis and performance results prove that the projected method on electric vehicle is improved when using IoT based technology. It is also observed that cost of implementation is lesser and capacity of electric vehicle is increased to about 74.3% after continuous monitoring with sensors.
