Journal ArticleDOI

Purification and characterization of catalase from sprouted black gram (Vigna mungo) seeds.

TL;DR: The enzyme showed optimal activity at a temperature of 40°C and pH 7.0 and had a half life of 7h 30 min at 50°C, and the effect of inhibitors like Sodium azide and EDTA and different metal ions on catalase activity were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the mechanism of interaction of antibody (IgG) on two mixed mode sorbents.

TL;DR: This study shows that, in HEA the interaction of IgG to the sorbent is predominantly hydrophobic as the binding is enhanced by presence of salt in buffer and increase in temperature, which shows that mixed mode chromatography offers additional selectivities to improve the overall productivity of commercial bioprocesses with novel chromatographic sorbents being introduced to overcome the problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of catalase adsorption on two mixed-mode ligands and the mechanism involved therein.

TL;DR: The interaction of catalase with HEA HyperCel could be dominated by hydrophobic forces with minor contributions from ionic interaction and with PPA HyperCEL, it could be a combination of different non‐covalent interactions acting on different loci on the surface of the protein.
