Active beam spectroscopy diagnostics for ITER: Present status (invited)

TL;DR: In this paper, an overview of the active beam spectroscopy diagnostics for the ITER was presented, where the authors showed that the mirror based periscopes and the impurity coating of the first mirror affect the signal strength and the polarization characteristics of the measured spectra having an impact in the measurement accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of natural diamond detector spectrometric properties under neutron irradiation

TL;DR: In this article, the NDD performance was studied up to a neutron fluence of 10 15 −n/cm 2, and no significant variations up to the level of 10 14 n/m 2 were observed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conceptual design of the charge exchange recombination spectroscopy diagnostic for ITER

TL;DR: Tugarinov et al. as discussed by the authors used active charge exchange recombination spectroscopy (CXRS) for the measurement of low-Z impurities in a fully diagnosed plasma to increase the overall data consistency and reduce the statistical error of each single impurity density determination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Status of the DNB based ITER CXRS and BES diagnostic

TL;DR: In this article, a status report on recent joint activities on the ITER CXRS and BES diagnostic package is given, as well as the expected measurement performances and comprehensive discussions are led on an integral approach to the implementation of Core and Edge CxRS observation periscopes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of the concept of charge-exchange recombination spectroscopy for ITER

TL;DR: In this article, the DINA code is used to calculate the attenuation of neutral beams in plasma, the intensity of atomic emission and emission from the ions produced by charge exchange with the neutral beam, and the intensity ratio between the emission related to charge exchange and the background continuum plasma emission.
