A calculation procedure for heat, mass and momentum transfer in three-dimensional parabolic flows

TL;DR: In this article, a general, numerical, marching procedure is presented for the calculation of the transport processes in three-dimensional flows characterised by the presence of one coordinate in which physical influences are exerted in only one direction.
Journal ArticleDOI

A finite-difference procedure for solving the equations of the two-dimensional boundary layer

TL;DR: In this article, a general, implicit, numerical, marching procedure is presented for the solution of parabolic partial differential equations, with special reference to those of the boundary layer, where the main novelty lies in the choice of a grid which adjusts its width so as to conform to the thickness of the layer in which significant property gradients are present.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat transfer across a turbulent boundary layer: Application of a profile method to the step-wall-temperature problem

TL;DR: In this paper, a laminar Prandtl number was used to measure the contribution of turbulent contribution to the non-dimensional total viscosity of the temperature profile, and the velocity along the wall and the distance from the wall to the wall was measured.
