A formal ontology-based spatiotemporal mereotopology for integrated product design and assembly sequence planning
TL;DR: This paper introduces the development of a formal ontology based on spatiotemporal mereotopology in the context of integrated assembly design and sequence planning to make assembly information accessible and exploitable by information management systems and computer-aided X tools.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of heat exchanger thermal hydraulic performance using aluminum foam
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental study of a turbulent forced convection in a rectangular channel partly fitted with aluminum metallic foam blocks was carried out on samples having a constant porosity of 93.8%, different grades of 5, 20 and 40 PPI, and three different height ratios of 0.6, 0.8 and 1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical investigation on the wall-coated steam methane reformer improvement: Effects of catalyst layer patterns and metal foam insertion
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical simulation of improving performances of a wall-coated steam methane reformer for hydrogen production is presented, where a single catalyst layer of 10mm length is adopted for the first configuration, while, for the second one, it is divided into five discrete uniform layers and impregnated alternately on the reformer's walls.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of inert metal foam matrices on hydrogen production intensification of methane steam reforming process in wall-coated reformer
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the insertion of non-catalytic nickel-based metal foam matrices in the catalytic zone of the WC-SMR on the hydrodynamic, thermal and mass behaviors of the gas mixture and its distribution along the reactor have been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conjugate natural heat transfer scrutiny in differentially heated cavity partitioned with a conducting solid using the lattice Boltzmann method
TL;DR: In this article, the authors numerically investigated the two-dimensional conjugate heat transfer problems in a unitary computational domain containing both the solid and fluid regions, and the results showed that the partition reduces the heat transfer rate in the cavity.
