TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the relationship between resilience, optimism and social support among international students and found a significant difference in the resiliency level across races, with African students scoring higher thanothers.
Abstract: This study focuses on the examination of the relationship between resilience, optimism and social support amonginternational students. International students who are studying as foreign students tend to experience greaterstress and anxiety during their study. They need to adjust to the new environment and overcome challenges. Theresilience level of students is very important as it can help them adjust their life pressures and stresses. Thecurrent study aims to look at the levels and patterns of resilience, optimism and social support amonginternational students. The instruments used were Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) for resilience,Life Orientation Test Revised (LOT-R) for optimism and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support(MSPSS) for social support. A total of 291 international students were involved in the study. The findingsrevealed a significant difference in the resiliency level across races, with African students scoring higher thanothers. The regression analysis employed showed that optimism (B=. 593) and social support (B=. 204) aresignificant predictors of resilience.

TL;DR: Results of the correlation analysis revealed that all three aspects of phonological processing are significantly correlated with decoding ability, and a series of hierarchical regression analysis indicated that after controlling the effect of IQ, phonological awareness, and rapid automated naming are two distinct sources of decode ability, but phonological short-term memory significantly contributes to decoding ability under the realm of phonology awareness.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to measure teachers' attitudes and perceived competency towards information technology (IT), and the results revealed that most teachers possess positive attitudes towards IT.
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to measure teachers’ attitudes and perceived competency towards information technology (IT). The results revealed that most teachers possess positive attitudes towards IT. The findings also established that most teachers have moderate levels of IT competency. They also believe that they still lack the appropriate IT skills to integrate the technology into the teaching and learning process. The results of MANOVA analysis indicated that there are significant differences between the group of competent and incompetent teachers in terms of usefulness, confidence, anxiety and aversion toward the use of IT.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors sought to uncover the predictors of self-regulated learning in Malaysian smart schools, and found that levels of IT-integration, student-teacher interactions, motivational beliefs, self-regulative knowledge, information literacy, and attitudes towards IT significantly predict selfregulated learning.
Abstract: This study sought to uncover the predictors of self-regulated learning in Malaysian smart schools. The sample consisted of 409 students, from six randomly chosen smart schools. A quantitative correlational research design was employed and the data were collected through survey method. Six factors were examined in relation to the predictors of self-regulated learning. These factors were levels of IT-integration, student-teacher interactions, motivational beliefs, self-regulative knowledge, information literacy, and attitudes towards IT. Multiple regression analysis showed that levels of IT-integration, student-teacher interactions, motivational beliefs, and self-regulative knowledge significantly predict self-regulated learning in Malaysian smart schools. Self-regulated learning, smart schools, levels of IT-integration, motivational beliefs, student-teacher interactions

Abstract: to many, however, it constantly appears as an instructional problem. The final two chapters serve as excellent summary statements. Chapter 13 emphasizes the application of previous text material to the classroom situation. Of great significance is the author's discussion of commonly defined independent, dependent, and moderator variables. The final chapter focuses on evaluation in the overall sense, particularly as it relates to programs of study. The principles of measurement and research design are applied to the evaluation process through several ex-

TL;DR: The theme of the volume is that it is human to have a long childhood which will leave a lifelong residue of emotional immaturity in man.
Abstract: Erik Eriksen is a remarkable individual. He has no college degrees yet is Professor of Human Development at Harvard University. He came to psychology via art, which explains why the reader will find him painting contexts and backgrounds rather than stating dull facts and concepts. He has been a training psychoanalyst for many years as well as a perceptive observer of cultural and social settings and their effect on growing up. This is not just a book on childhood. It is a panorama of our society. Anxiety in young children, apathy in American Indians, confusion in veterans of war, and arrogance in young Nazis are scrutinized under the psychoanalytic magnifying glass. The material is well written and devoid of technical jargon. The theme of the volume is that it is human to have a long childhood which will leave a lifelong residue of emotional immaturity in man.
