Frequency regulation of a maiden structured power system with integrated renewable energy source by a fuzzy - tuned fractional order controller

TL;DR: In this article , a hybrid fuzzy cascaded fractional order proportional integral-fractional order proportionality derivative (FCFOPI-FOPD) controller was proposed to improve the frequency regulation of a renewable energy source (RES) integrated power system.
Journal ArticleDOI

A modified boost rectifier for elimination of circulating current in power factor correction applications

TL;DR: The developed rectifier topology uses fewer devices compared to semi-bridgeless type boost rectifiers, and the overall efficiency is increased, and it achieves a higher power factor and better total harmonic distortion (THD) in high load conditions.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Performance of Neural Network Based Controllers and ΔΣ-Based PID Controllers for Networked Control Systems: A Comparative Investigation

TL;DR: The present study designs a neural network (NN) based controller for NCS and investigates its performance under random time-varying delay, packet-dropouts and demonstrates that the performance of the NN based controller is superior compared to other controllers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimum operation management of microgrids with cost and environment pollution reduction approach considering uncertainty using multi‐objective NSGAII algorithm

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used NSGAII multi-objective genetic algorithm to solve the problem of resource management in a micro grid, which is a completely non-linear and top-order problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance Analysis of Single-Phase Electrical Machine for Military Applications

TL;DR: In this paper, a permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance generator (PMA-SynRG) and an induction generator (IG) were compared for portable generator applications, and results such as flux density, open circuit and full load voltages, torque in generating mode, weight comparison and detailed cost analysis were investigated.
