Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of magnetorheological lubricant behavior on the performance of annular recessed orifice compensated non-textured/textured thrust pad bearing:

TL;DR: In this article, a computational model was proposed to analyze the influence of magnet magnetism on the performance of fluid film bearings operated with smart lubricants, which has been successfully used to enhance the lubricating performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Finite Element Simulation of Wheel-Rail Interaction: Technical Note

TL;DR: In this article, a quasi-static analysis of wheel-rail interaction is performed using solidworksS on the basis of UIC-60 rail profile and S-1002 wheel profile.
Journal ArticleDOI

Natural exudate gum from ghatti tree (Anogeissus latifolia): A review on production, processing and marketing

TL;DR: Gum ghatti (GG) is a natural polysaccharide produced from Ghatti tree (Anogeissus latifolia), which is composed of several mono-sugars and uronic acids in the form of calcium and magnesium salts as discussed by the authors .

Effect of Non-Newtonian Behavior of Lubricant on Performance of Externally Pressurized Thrust Bearing

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of non-Newtonian behavior of lubricant on the performance indices of an externally pressurized thrust bearing has been presented, and the bearing performance indices have been numerically computed by a coupled solution of the Reynolds equation, power-law constitutive equation, and lubricant flow equation through control flow valve (CFV) device.
