Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of pressure on the solubilities of benzene and alkylbenzenes in water

TL;DR: In this article, the solubilities of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and n-propylbenzzene in water were measured at 25°C at pressures up to 400 MPa (100 MPa for benzene).
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Pressure and Temperature on the Solubility of Alkylbenzenes in Water: Volumetric Property of Hydrophobic Hydration

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the solubility of toluene, ethylbenzene, and propyl benzene in water over conditions of 0.10−400 MPa and 273.2−323.2 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solubility of α-amino acids in water under high pressure: glycine, l-alanine, l-valine, l-leucine, and l-isoleucine

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the solubility of various solubilities of proteins in water at high pressure up to 400MPa and the standard deviation of the logarithm of the solusability is 0.0001-0003, equal to or better than the accuracy of atmospheric pressure measurement.
Journal ArticleDOI

Excess Partial Molar Enthalpy of 1-Propanol in 1-Propanol−NaCl−H2O at 25 °C: The Effect of NaCl on Molecular Organization of H2O†

TL;DR: In this article, the enthalpic interaction function, H1P-1PE, between 1-propanol molecules was evaluated and the tentative conclusions are that a NaCl molecule “binds” to seven or eight molecules of H2O on dissolving into H 2O.
