TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on ground-based lidar observations of the same event from every continent in the Northern Hemisphere, taking advantage of the synergy between global lidar networks such as EARLINET, MPLNET and NDACC with independent lidar groups and satellite CALIPSO.
Journal ArticleDOI
Responses of photosynthetic activity in the drought-tolerant cyanobacterium, Nostoc flagelliforme to rehydration at different temperature
TL;DR: It is concluded that N. flagelliforme had a more rapid and complete recovery at 25 and 35 degrees C than that at 5 and 15 degrees C, although it could recover its photosynthetic activity at any of the four temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contributions of ecological programs to vegetation restoration in arid and semiarid China
Journal ArticleDOI
Dust deposition and its significance to soil nutrients in the Otindag Desert, China
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured fine fraction and nutrient inputs by dust deposition to understand biogeochemical cycling and its effect on vegetation succession in arid and semi-arid regions.
