Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of sill intrusions on coal seam and their relationship to methane outbursts was studied, where eleven coal seam samples from the No. 10 coal seam were taken from the Wolonghu Mine at various distances from a diorite sill and compared with unaltered and heat-affected coals using petrographic and chemical data, micropore characteristics, adsorption properties of coal and gas outburst indexes from field.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, localized igneous intrusions with varying types of intrusion patterns were found in the Pennsylvanian-Permian coals in north China, and the influence of localized intrusions on rank, petrology and coal quality characteristics were mainly related to the emplacement temperature, the style of heat transfer (convection or conduction), the intrusion forms (dike or sill) and size, the distance from the contact and the thermal properties of the surrounding rocks at the contact of the intrusion.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the changes of coal organic composition and pores/fractures resulting from igneous intrusions in coalbed meth- ane reservoirs, and found that coal pore development improved with decreasing distance to the contact.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the microseismic effects of hard and thick igneous strata separation and fracturing and the corresponding evaluation index of fracturing intensity, and the temporal-spatial evolution of the MS sources generated by ignifer strata fracturing in the 10416 working face of the Yangliu coal mine (YCM) was dynamically recurred.

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of coal oxidation on the outburst risk of coal seams after a magmatic rock invasion was explored by applying the BELMAX automatic analyzer for specific surface area (SSA) and pore volume.
