Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of I/D polymorphism of angiotensin-converting enzyme 1 (ACE1) gene on the severity of COVID-19 patients.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the association of ACE1 I/D polymorphism with severity of Covid-19 and found that ACE1 ID genotype was significantly independently associated with high socio-economic COVID-19 patients (OR: 2.48, 95% CI: 1.331-4.609).
Journal ArticleDOI

Genetic polymorphisms of IL6 gene –174G > C and –597G > A are associated with the risk of COVID‐19 severity

TL;DR: In this paper , the role of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the regulatory region of IL6 genes was investigated for the severity of colonavirus disease-2019 (COVID•19) patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genetic Variants and Drug Efficacy in Tuberculosis: A Step toward Personalized Therapy

TL;DR: The field of pharmacogenomics with the evolution in genetics is briefly introduced and the pharmacogenetic impact of genetic variations on genes involved in the activities, such as anti-TB drug transportation, metabolism, and gene regulation is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Technology for Improving Street Dog Welfare and Capturing Data in Digital Format during Street Dog Sterilisation Programmes

TL;DR: The HSIApps application facilitates the return of dogs back to their exact captured location, which ensures dog welfare, and generates reports of a variety of useful data variables to maximise the efficacy and reliability of sterilisation programmes.
