Journal ArticleDOI

Dispersion, refinement, and manipulation of single silicon nanowires

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used electrophoresis method to mount single nanowires onto chosen electrodes of a prototype device and checked the wires using scanning probe microscopes, which may require simultaneous manipulation of a large number of wires.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vibrational analysis of oxygen-plasma treated indium tin oxide

TL;DR: In this article, the authors showed that the dominant feature in the HREELS spectrum of the 'as-received' ITO was the loss peaks associated with the CH x group, and that oxygen-plasma treatment of ITO led to the disappearance of the CH X loss peaks, and a concomitant increase in the intensity of the phonon peaks at 71 and 134 meV.
Journal ArticleDOI

ZnO nanowire-based all-optical switch with Reset-Set flip-flop function

TL;DR: An all-optical switch with reset-set flip-flop function has been developed by attaching a derivative of spiropyran on the surface of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowire as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Single crystalline ordered silicon wire/Pt nanoparticle hybrids for solar energy harvesting

TL;DR: In this article, a method combining lithography and metal-catalyzed Si etching was developed to fabricate highly ordered Si wire arrays with uniform coverage over an entire 4-in. wafer.
