Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of stimulated reservoir volume and anisotropic permeability using analytical modelling of microseismic and hydraulic fracturing parameters

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved analytical 3D linear diffusivity PDE model is proposed to simulate the anisotropic permeability and the SRV dimension with higher percentage of microseismic events.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical modeling on drilling fluid and cutter design effect on drilling bit cutter thermal wear and breakdown

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal-mechanical wear of three specific PDC cutters: standard chamfered, ax, and stinger was investigated on the application of heat flux and cooling effect by different drilling fluids by using FEM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of Nanoparticles Dispersion in Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) Solvent

TL;DR: In this article, a turbidity test was performed on the dispersion of various concentration of silica oxide (SiO 2 ) and aluminium oxide (Al 2 O 3 ) by using turbidity tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical modelling of free energy for methanol and water mixtures for biodiesel production

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate the excess Gibbs free energy (ΔG) behavior on methanol in a water mixture, for the binary system, using the GROningen MAchine for Chemical Simulations (GROMACS©).
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of solvation free energy of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the mixture of brine, Alfa Olefin Sulfonate (AOS) and CH4 after foam fracturing in the shale reservoirs on enhanced shale gas recovery (ESGR)

TL;DR: In this paper, the post effect of hydraulic fracturing on the shale system after the fracturing process has had taken place whereby the CO2 is introduced into the shale gas system, which consists of methane (CH4) with brine and surfactants applied during the foam fracturing is Alfa Olefin Sulfonate (AOS), different brine salinity, temperature, and pressure are varied in simulation to determine the most spontaneous combination for the reservoir condition for the solvation of CO2 in the shale fluid system in the reflection of solvation free energy.
