TL;DR: The topic of biobanks is argued by reviewing the most relevant aspects of these centers by reaching a shared agreement and obtaining a universal concordance to achieve and maintain unity and create homogeneous system ofBiobanking.
Abstract: Biobanks are structures used for the preservation of biological samples. These repositories store biospecimens for short or long period of time, depending on the aim for which they are employed. The collections stored inside consist of different types and for each material there's a specific protocol to be followed, in order to keep sample in the best condition as possible. So, a good state is a primary hallmark and its basic to have a well-protected specimen to obtain reliable results fit for clinical purposes and research. In the last years, medical sciences are developing together with the progress of knowledge and skills: the need for new answer to questions about rare and common diseases has greatly contributed to the creation of a network of biobanks which cooperate in Europe and internationally to discover new findings. Therefore, the importance of biobanks is currently considerable. In this article, the topic of biobanks is argued by reviewing the most relevant aspects of these centers. Due to the strategic role of biobanks, the debate on their management and policy is focused on a variety of issues with the aim of reaching a shared agreement and obtaining a universal concordance. Only so, it will possible to achieve and maintain unity and create homogeneous system of biobanking.

TL;DR: Regenerative medicine, defined as a field that can repair, regenerate or replace cells or tissue, can have a very important role in the treatment of this pathology.
Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a very common disease that affects a large number of people in the world and whose treatment is very expensive, also due to its complications.

TL;DR: The possible applications of CRISPR/Cas9 to hiPSCs are described: from drug development to drug screening and from gene therapy to the induction of the immunological response to specific virus infection, such as HIV and SARS-Cov-2.
Abstract: Human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing system represent two instruments of basic and translational research, which both allow to acquire deep insight about the molecular bases of many diseases but also to develop pharmacological researchThis review is focused to draw up the latest technique of gene editing applied on hiPSCs, exploiting some of the genetic manipulation directed to the discovery of innovative therapeutic strategies There are many expediencies provided by the use of hiPSCs, which can represent a disease model clinically relevant and predictive, with a great potential if associated to CRISPR/Cas9 technology, a gene editing tool powered by ease and precision never seen beforeHere, we describe the possible applications of CRISPR/Cas9 to hiPSCs: from drug development to drug screening and from gene therapy to the induction of the immunological response to specific virus infection, such as HIV and SARS-Cov-2

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used quantitative methods to focus on the micro-level drivers that cause land to remain vacant in small towns and found that vacant land is a worldwide phenomenon.
Abstract: The existence of vacant land is a worldwide phenomenon. However, few studies have used quantitative methods to focus on the micro-level drivers that cause land to remain vacant in small towns. In t...
