Abstract: The rapid world demand for palm oil shows an increasing tendency towards product consumption in palm oil raw materials. PT. Karya Tanah Subur is a company engaged in processing fresh fruit bunches that produce palm oil and palm kernel. Six Sigma is a method used to provide solutions and find the cause of product defects by providing a proposed improvement in several stages. The results showed that the causes of CPO oil quality discrepancies were obtained in the cause-and-effect diagram analysis, namely factors of workers, production machinery, work methods, materials. While the defect per million opportunities in free fatty acid levels is 35,528, impurities content is 18,899 and water content is 14,719. Based on the value of the average sigma level for free fatty acid levels that is equal to 3.38, the level of impurities sigma value of 3.57 and the water content of the sigma value of 3.68 sigma. Proposed improvement of product defects mismatch with the 5W + 1H method, namely in free fatty acid levels, work system improvements in the sorting of fresh fruit bunches, provide training to operators in the selection of appropriate fruits while impurities by monitoring oil purification operators, machine maintenance cleaning periodically at the sorting station, periodic checking every hour, while the moisture content of the corrective action that must be taken is to supervise the sterilizer operator.

Abstract: UD Sabeena's business has a simple production process. The process of cutting the skin causes musculoskeletal disorders of workers such as back pain, fatigue, and others. Musculoskeletal disorders result in decreased productivity. SNQ is used to identify, analyze, and calculate the percentage of complaints to workers. From SNQ obtained complaints on the buttocks 100%, waist, back and right hand 92%, upper right arm and left shoulder 83%, upper left arm, right and left forearm 75%, this is because the tools used require workers to bend, bend feet and standing repeatedly for more than 8 hours/day. Suggestions for cutting leather tools based on the results of anthropometric measurements of workers. The length and width of the table are based on the dimensions of the reach of the hand with an average of the 50th percentile where the width of the hand table is 76 cm. Meanwhile, the height of the table is based on the dimensions of standing elbow height where the average is the 50th percentile so that the height of the table is 90 cm. It is proposed to redesign the leather cutting tool using the QFD method which considers the needs and desires of consumers into a product design including a rectangular stainless steel leather cutter with a size of 76 x 76 cm, blue color, has a blade of 72 cm following the size of the table with a vertical position and horizontal with a density of 1 cm, the height of the table leg is 86 cm, and there is foam on the handle.

Abstract: Presented in this paper is the utilization of house of risk in formulating a risk mitigation strategy for the supply chain of cloves in Simeulue District, Aceh Province, Indonesia. This application is expected to minimize the risk of the clove supply chain, as well as create an effective and efficient clove supply chain condition that can benefit producers (farmers). Cloves are strategic commodities and agricultural products that are mostly managed by the Indonesian people. Simeulue Regency is one of the clove producers in Aceh Province, where most of the people work as clove farmers. Fluctuation of clove prices every year makes the welfare of clove farmers decrease. This is due to supply chain risks that have never been mapped by local farmers. To solve this problem, house of risk method will be used to map the risk of the clove commodity supply chain from upstream to downstream as a whole. The risks that have the highest value will be formulated for mitigation actions. The results of the house of risk mapping, there are 6 highest risk agents whose mitigation actions will be formulated, namely: Improper transportation technique (A7) with an ARP value of 330, lack of experience in sourcing raw materials (A3) with an ARP value of 288, non-compliance with clove shipping documents (A13) with an ARP value of 276, ineffective communication (A9) with an ARP value 258, non-compliance with agreements with clove suppliers (A11) with an ARP value of 189, and failure to negotiate prices with producers (A15) with an ARP value of 126. Mitigation measures that have been formulated are conducting training (A7), evaluating the performance of raw material suppliers (A3), take work measurements (A13), evaluating effective communication systems (A9), evaluating supplier performance (A11), and evaluating cooperation with the producers (A15).

Abstract: This paper presents a Monte Carlo simulation to determine the reliability and availability of boiler critical components in a steam power plant. The Monte Carlo simulation results are expected to be a reference for maintenance and repair times that will be used in the future. Steam power plant is one in every of the foremost wide used power plants in Indonesia, and one of them is located in Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. Nagan Raya steam power plant has an installed capacity of 2x110 megawatts. The highest failure frequency is found in the boiler, this is reflected in the high downtime. Performance in terms of reliability and availability needs to be evaluated to minimize these failures. Monte Carlo simulation is used as an evaluator to increase the reliability and availability of performance by predicting failure time and repair time (TTF and TTR) for each critical component of boiler part. Monte Carlo simulation uses random numbers with a uniform distribution (0 to 1) generated from generating random numbers, then converting them to non-uniform distributions using the inverse transformation method. Monte Carlo simulation will be carried out on eight critical components of the two boiler units at Nagan Raya steam power plant. Monte Carlo simulation results on eight critical components of the boiler obtained a reliability value of 30% to 42% with TTF at 260 hours to 1.312 hours, a reliability value of 22% to 41% with TTR at 1,57 hours to 2,26 hours, and the average availability value is above 99%.

Abstract: PT. Cahaya Intan Bersaudara is a company engaged in transportation services in the Meulaboh area of West Aceh Regency which has 10 land transportation routes from Meulaboh Banda Aceh, Meulaboh-Lhokseumawe, Meulaboh-Takengon, Meulaboh-Langsa, and Meulaboh-South Aceh. Based on the results of preliminary observations made, one of them is that transportation service providers for the community are still unable to meet the quality of service desired by transportation service users where transportation users feel complaints about the quality of transportation services provided such as being late in picking up customers, unfriendly drivers, comfortable seating less, driver behavior while driving is less control, cleanliness in the car is lacking, the level of security in the car is lacking. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of the factor of passenger needs for improving the quality of services provided, determine the service attributes that significantly affect passenger satisfaction with the service quality approach, determine the level of passenger satisfaction with the services provided using importance performance analysis. Overall using the service quality attribute method has an average gap score of 0.25. From the results of this study, it was found that the average level of conformity was 78.01%, while the average value of each attribute of interest was 73.25% and the average satisfaction was 74.14% consisting of 20 attributes obtained.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to identify the quality of CPO in the palm oil Factory at PT Bumitama Gunajaya Agro The analysis was carried out by processing the data of free faty acid, water level, and impurity level Descriptive analysis was applied in this reaserch by using six sigma the use of six sigma aimed to identify if the quality which was produces by the company has relied on the standard wanted by the consumer The result reported that the quality of free faty acid remained at level of 1,3 sigma with DPMO value 317500 products that were underqualified as decided by SNI The improvement that can be applied as in fish bone diagram was to the human resources, the propellents, and the machines The analysis result at water quality sigma level has been at level 3 of sigma but with DPMO value by 2700hence, having analysed by Fish Bone Diagram, machinery was the factor that sould be improve in order to improve the sigma level Meanwhile, impurity content has approximentely reached level 4 sigma, in this case reaching the company’s target that expect the CPO quality above 3 level sigma Therefore, at impurity content, it was unnecessary to find the problem about the quality inapporiateness with the consumer’s standart (SNI)
