Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of quercetin on chronic constriction nerve injury in an experimental rat model.
TL;DR: Comparison of QUE with morphine and gabapentine has revealed significant effects of this agent in the current chronic constriction injury model, and QUE was significantly superior to Gabapentin and morphine in terms of alleviating mechanical and thermal hypersensitivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neuroprotective effects of gabapentin in experimental spinal cord injury.
Hakan Emmez,Alp Özgün Börcek,Memduh Kaymaz,Figen Kaymaz,Emre Durdag,Soner Çivi,Ozlem Gulbahar,Şükrü Aykol,Aydin Pasaoglu +8 more
TL;DR: Gabapentin demonstrated similar neuroprotective effects as methylprednisolone in early phase of spinal cord injury and ultrastructural findings were similar.
Journal ArticleDOI
An unusual ventriculoperitoneal shunt complication: spontaneous knot formation.
TL;DR: An extraordinary complication of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt system that formed a knot spontaneously and lead to a shunt malfunction is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of Atorvastatin on Experimental Spinal Cord Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Rabbits.
TL;DR: Results of this study demonstrate the neuroprotective effects of atorvastatin, which has favorable effects on biochemical markers of oxidative stress in SCI.
Journal ArticleDOI
