Journal ArticleDOI

Shear wave elastography in the evaluation of renal parenchymal stiffness in patients with chronic kidney disease.

TL;DR: SWE was superior to renal length and cortical thickness in detecting CKD and showed good accuracy in determining whether a kidney was diseased or not, and on SWE, CKD patients show greater renal parenchymal stiffness than non-CKD patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stiffness and Anisotropy Effect on Shear Wave Elastography: A Phantom and in Vivo Renal Study.

TL;DR: Tissue stiffness and anisotropy affects SWE measurements and these factors should be recognized before applying SWE for the interpretation of measured values.
Journal ArticleDOI

Shear wave elastography accurately detects chronic changes in renal histopathology

TL;DR: The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between kidney stiffness obtained by shear wave elastography (SWE) and renal histological fibrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of Nonlinear Features for Automated Characterization of Suspicious Ovarian Tumors Using Ultrasound Images in Fuzzy Forest Framework

TL;DR: The proposed CAD tool to characterize suspicious ovarian cancer using Radon-transformed nonlinear features is robust and reproducible as it uses maximum number subjects as compared to state-of-the-art techniques, and can be used as an assisting tool by gynecologists during their routine screening.
