Journal ArticleDOI

PCR marker-based evaluation of the eating quality of japonica rice ( Oryza sativa L.).

TL;DR: DNA markers associated with eating quality of temperate japonica rice and an evaluation method aided by multiple regression analysis indicated that the marker set and the equation are highly applicable to evaluation of the palatability of cooked rice in temperateJaponica varieties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genome-wide resequencing of KRICE_CORE reveals their potential for future breeding, as well as functional and evolutionary studies in the post-genomic era

TL;DR: This study provides strong evidence that the size of KRICE_CORE is small but contains high genetic and functional diversity across the genome, as well as functional and evolutionary studies in the post-genomic era.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of QTLs for seed germination capability after various storage periods using two RIL populations in rice

TL;DR: Quantitative trait loci associated with seed germination capability in various storage periods was identified using two sets of recombinant inbred lines which derived from crosses between Milyang 23 and Tong 88-7 (MT-Rils) and between Dasanbyeo and TR22183 (DT-RILs).
Journal ArticleDOI

Association analysis of physicochemical traits on eating quality in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

TL;DR: The results suggest that association mapping in rice is a viable alternative to quantitative trait loci mapping, and detection of new marker–trait associations associated with rice eating quality will also provide important information for marker-assisted breeding and functional analysis of rice grain quality.
