Beneficial effects of elderly tailored Mediterranean diet on the proteasomal proteolysis

TL;DR: It was demonstrated that subgroups of non-frail subjects and women receive a greater benefit after the intervention, concerning specifically the proteasome content and activity, which highlights the putative beneficial effects of Mediterranean diet on the major cellular proteolytic mechanism, the proteAsome, in elderly people.
Journal ArticleDOI

Royal Jelly Components Encapsulation in a Controlled Release System—Skin Functionality, and Biochemical Activity for Skin Applications

TL;DR: In the present study, a new encapsulation and delivery system consisting of liposomes and cyclodextrins incorporating royal jelly has been developed, which aims to the elimination of the stability disadvantages of royal jelly’s sensitive component 10-HDA, but also to the controlled release of its ingredients for an enhanced bioactivity in cosmeceutical applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antioxidant and Antiaging Properties of a Novel Synergistic Nutraceutical Complex: Readouts from an In Cellulo Study and an In Vivo Prospective, Randomized Trial

TL;DR: The results support the notion that interventions with specifically designed combinations of natural compounds targeting multiple hallmarks of aging represent an effective way to improve healthspan and well-being.
