Journal ArticleDOI
In phase and antiphase synchronization of coupled homoclinic chaotic oscillators.
TL;DR: The dynamics of a closed chain of unidirectionally coupled oscillators in a regime of homoclinic chaos show analogies with the experimental behavior of a single chaotic laser subjected to a delayed feedback.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental control of coherence of a chaotic oscillator.
TL;DR: Experimental evidence is given that a delayed feedback control strategy is able to efficiently enhance the coherence of an experimental self-sustained chaotic oscillator obtained from a CO2 laser with electro-optical feedback.
Journal ArticleDOI
Feature Selection in the Reconstruction of Complex Network Representations of Spectral Data
TL;DR: A comparative analysis of three customary feature selection algorithms, including the binning of spectral data and the use of information theory metrics, indicates that a feature selection strategy based on Mutual Information outperforms the more classical data binning, while allowing a reduction of the dimensionality of the data set in two orders of magnitude.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reconstructing multi-mode networks from multivariate time series
Zhong-Ke Gao,Yu-Xuan Yang,Weidong Dang,Qing Cai,Zhen Wang,Norbert Marwan,Stefano Boccaletti,Jürgen Kurths +7 more
TL;DR: This letter proposes a method that leads to the construction of a novel functional network, a multi-mode weighted graph combined with an empirical mode decomposition, and to the realization of multi-information fusion of multivariate time series.
Journal ArticleDOI
Double explosive transitions to synchronization and cooperation in intertwined dynamics and evolutionary games
Xuelong Li,Xiangfeng Dai,Danyang Jia,Hao Guo,Shudong Li,Garth Douglas Cooper,K. Alfaro-Bittner,K. Alfaro-Bittner,Matjaž Perc,Matjaž Perc,Stefano Boccaletti,Zhen Wang +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider an ensemble of networked oscillators, where each oscillator can be either a cooperator or a defector, and with only cooperators contributing to synchrony.
