Journal ArticleDOI

Resistive plate chambers performances at cosmic rays fluxes

TL;DR: In this paper, detailed curves showing the behavior of resistive plate chambers efficiency and time resolution as a function of temperature and operating voltage are presented, and the results show that the operating voltage scales well according to the rule: operating voltage/gas density = constant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of Micro-Grippers for Tissue and Cell Manipulation with Direct Morphological Comparison

TL;DR: A new approach to tissue and cell manipulation is presented, which employs a conceptually new conjugate surfaces flexure hinge (CSFH) silicon MEMS-based technology micro-gripper that solves most of the above-mentioned problems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Bilberry and Red Currant Waste Extracts

TL;DR: In this article, the formation of nanoparticles was monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the intensity of the surface plasmon resonance band (SPR) of silver, and the effects of temperature and pH on the reaction kinetics and on the properties of Ag-NPs were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Graphite nodules and fatigue crack propagation micromechanisms in a ferritic ductile cast iron

TL;DR: In this article, a ferritic ductile cast irons (DCI) was investigated focusing on fatigue crack propagation micromechanisms: step-by-step fatigue cracks were performed considering compact-type specimens, and crack propagation was investigated by means of scanning electron microscope and digital microscope lateral surfaces observations, considering different loading conditions.
