Davies,Pierre-Emmanuel Douarre,Isabelle Rosinski-Chupin,Immaculada Margarit,Sebastien Spinali,Tim Perkins,Pierre Lechat,Nicolas Dmytruk,Elisabeth Sauvage,Laurence Ma,Benedetta Romi,Magali Tichit,Maria-José Lopez-Sanchez,Stéphane Descorps-Declère,Erika Souche,Carmen Buchrieser,Patrick Trieu-Cuot,Ivan Moszer,Dominique Clermont,Domenico Maione,Christiane Bouchier,David J. McMillan,Julian Parkhill,John L. Telford,Gordan Dougan,Mark J. Walker,Matthew T. G. Holden,Claire Poyart,Philippe Glaser +29 more
TL;DR: This Article contains an error in the spelling of a member of the DEVANI Consortium, Lucilla Baldassarri, which was incorrectly given as Lucilia Baldassari.

TL;DR: It is proposed that the use of tetracycline from 1948 onwards led in humans to the complete replacement of a diverse GBS population by only few TcR clones particularly well adapted to their host, causing the observed emergence of GBS diseases in neonates.
Journal ArticleDOI
More than 18,000 effectors in the Legionella genus genome provide multiple, independent combinations for replication in human cells.
Laura Gomez-Valero,Christophe Rusniok,Danielle Carson,Sonia Mondino,Sonia Mondino,Ana Elena Pérez-Cobas,Ana Elena Pérez-Cobas,Monica Rolando,Monica Rolando,Shivani Pasricha,Sandra Reuter,Jasmin Demirtas,Jasmin Demirtas,Johannes Crumbach,Johannes Crumbach,Stéphane Descorps-Declère,Elizabeth L. Hartland,Elizabeth L. Hartland,Elizabeth L. Hartland,S. Jarraud,Gordon Dougan,Gunnar N. Schroeder,Gunnar N. Schroeder,Gad Frankel,Carmen Buchrieser,Carmen Buchrieser +25 more
TL;DR: The surprising extent to which legionellae have coopted genes and thus cellular functions from their eukaryotic hosts is revealed, providing an understanding of how dynamic reshuffling and gene acquisition have led to the emergence of major human pathogens.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular characterization of three Zika flaviviruses obtained from sylvatic mosquitoes in the Central African Republic.
Nicolas Berthet,Emmanuel Nakouné,Basile Kamgang,Benjamin Selekon,Stéphane Descorps-Declère,Antoine Gessain,Jean-Claude Manuguerra,Mirdad Kazanji +7 more
TL;DR: Phylogenetic analysis based on the amino acid sequence of the polyprotein showed that the three ZIKV strains clustered together but diverged from all other ZikV strains, suggesting that a different subtype of West African ZIKv strains circulated in Aedes species in Central Africa.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genomic history of human monkey pox infections in the Central African Republic between 2001 and 2018.
Nicolas Berthet,Nicolas Berthet,Stéphane Descorps-Declère,Camille Besombes,Manon Curaudeau,Andriniaina Andy Nkili Meyong,Benjamin Selekon,Ingrid Labouba,Ella Cyrielle Gonofio,Rita Sem Ouilibona,Huguette Simo Tchetgna,Maxence Feher,Arnaud Fontanet,Arnaud Fontanet,Mirdad Kazanji,Jean-Claude Manuguerra,Alexandre Hassanin,Antoine Gessain,Antoine Gessain,Emmanuel Nakouné +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the full genome of 10 monkeypox virus (MPXV) isolates collected during the CAR epidemics between 2001 and 2018 was sequenced to determine their phylogenetic relationships among MPXV lineages previously described in Central Africa and West Africa.
