Computer simulation of a gas–liquid surface. Part 1

TL;DR: In this article, Monte Carlo and molecular dynamic simulations of the surface of a system of Lennard-Jones (12, 6) molecules have been carried out at temperatures which span most of the liquid range, showing that the density profile, as a function of height, falls monotonically from the density of the bulk liquid to that of gas.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Gas-Liquid Surface of the Penetrable Sphere Model. II

TL;DR: In this paper, the direct correlation function between two points in the gas-liquid surface of the penetrable sphere model is obtained in a mean-field approximation, which is used to show explicitly that three apparently different ways of calculating the surface tension all lead to the same result.
Journal ArticleDOI

A monoclonal antibody which detects a 125 kd glycoprotein on embryonal carcinoma cells and is mitogenic for murine spleen cells

TL;DR: Results suggest that 2H9 antibody detects a carbohydrate determinant; this is apparently distinct from other anti-EC reactive monoclonal antibodies and a variety of lectins.
Journal ArticleDOI

Murine Lymphocyte and Embryonal Carcinoma Cell Surface Antigens Recognised by Rabbit Anti-Murine Embryonal Carcinoma Serum

TL;DR: This work investigated whether rabbit anti-EC sera may recognize some novel class-I-MHC (major histocompatibility complex) type antigens in murine embryonal carcinoma cells and lymphocytes and found that these molecules were different from H-2, Ia or Qa-2 molecules from the same mouse strain.
