TL;DR: In this paper, a new islanding detection algorithm is proposed based on summarizing the shortcoming of traditional islanding methods, and the value of Δ f ΔPLis is regarded as detection index, and identification is realized by comparing the evaluated value with the given threshold value.
Abstract: In order to solve the islanding detection problem in distributed generation systems,by analyzing the ratio of some related power quantity before and after the islanding,a new islanding detection algorithm is proposed based on summarizing the shortcoming of traditional islanding detection methods. The value of Δ f ΔPLis regarded as detection index, and the islanding identification is realized by comparing the evaluated value with the given threshold value.Taking the impacts of local load change of grid on islanding detection into account, simulation study is made to validate the proposed method. The experimental results show that the proposed method is simple and feasible, can detect the islanding fast and accurately and does not affect power quality.

TL;DR: The principle of islanding comprehensive detection technology, which makes up for a series of shortcomings, such as the non-detection zone (NDZ) is larger of the local testing technology and overcomes a great many shortcomings of the remote detection technology.
Abstract: With the widely application of the distributed generation technology, micro grid islanding detection technology has been greatly developed. A new type of islanding detection technique is proposed in this paper. The new detection technology has realized the rapid, efficient, stable and reliable islanding detection, and achieved the zero non detection zone. At the same time, which put money into limit in minimum range. This paper presents the principle of islanding comprehensive detection technology. This paper designs and describes the method to realize the new islanding detection technology. The new technology makes up for a series of shortcomings, such as the non-detection zone (NDZ) is larger of the local testing technology. And it also overcomes a great many shortcomings of the remote detection technology, such as a big investment and too single.

Abstract: Solar power generation, which is regarded as an ideal environment-friendly manner for power generation, is getting more and more attention. When photovoltaic inverter is connected to the grid, the island effect is a special problem to confront. This paper briefly analyzes the island effects and makes a summary of both domestic and external research progress concerning islanding detection methods; the islanding detection methods can be divided into two classes: one is grid-side detection; the other is local detection. The local detection is generally divided into passive methods and active methods. The theory of advantages and disadvantages of those methods are briefly introduced in this paper. At the end of the paper, to deal with the disadvantages of those methods that are mentioned, it proposes the research direction for deeper study of islanding detection methods. TL;DR: In this article, a dividing model of islands is proposed based on both the maximum equivalent loads and the maximum customers in the islands, and a new islanding algorithm is proposed to improve the reliability of distribution network more effectively.
Abstract: The dividing model of islands is proposed based on both the maximum equivalent loads and the maximum customers in the islands, and it shows a new islanding algorithm. This paper gives a 15-bus system case. Compared with other dividing model of islands, it concludes that the dividing model of islands considering interrupted customers could improve the system average interruption frequency, system average interruption duration and average service availability, and reduce the energy not supply. This model could improve the reliability of distribution network more effectively.
