Journal ArticleDOI

A Comparative Analysis of the Safety Awareness of Korean and Chinese Construction Workers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed and compared the safety awareness of Chinese and Korean construction workers and found that Korean workers have a higher safety awareness than Chinese workers, particularly in terms of the efficiency of safety education and the observance of safety rules.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantifying combination effects of project management practices on cost performance

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an analysis method that quantifies the relationship between project management practices and the cost performance of construction projects, including data measurement and transformation, contingency table analysis, logistic regression, and a composite index.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance assessment model for robot-based automated construction systems

TL;DR: In this article, an adjusted assessment model based on benefit-cost analysis (BCA) is proposed for evaluating the economic efficiency of automated construction technologies, which does not compare monetary values, but the differences in benefits and costs between traditional and automated construction methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study on the economic analysis of high-rise residential-commercial building that is made by precast concrete

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new precast concrete complex system and analyzed its economical feasibility through comparing the cost of a high-rise reinforced building that was already constructed with that of the new proposed pre-cast concrete system, which is limited to structural frame work of typical floors.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Benefit/cost analysis of a robot-based construction automation system

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a new assessment process for automated construction technologies as a decision tool, inspired by benefit-cost analysis, which was employed to evaluate the test-bed and the results showed that the BI and CI are 1.24 and 5.22, respectively, and economic efficiency is 0.24.
