Transformation of cast A356 ingots to wrought sheets with enhanced mechanical and tribological properties by different thermo-mechanical processing routes
TL;DR: In this article, two different thermo-mechanical processing routes were employed on a cast hypo-eutectic Al Si alloy to produce wrought sheets with refined microstructure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aging behavior of ultrafine-grained AA6063/SiC composites with varying reinforcement sizes
TL;DR: In this paper, the synergetic effect of varying reinforcement sizes (12 μm (coarse), 1 1/1/4 wt%SiC composites produced via a hybrid route of stir casting and cryorolling) on aging behavior and mechanical properties of bulk ultrafine grained (UFG) AA6063/4 1/4
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal and Intermetallic Matrix In-Situ Particle Composites
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Ageing on Strength and Ductility of Ultrafine Grained Al 6061 Alloy
TL;DR: In this paper, an effect of ageing on mechanical properties of ultrafine grained Al 6061 alloys has been investigated, and the pre-cryorolled solid solution treatment combined with post-CR ageing treatment was found to be the optimum processing condition to obtain the ultrafine-grained microstructure with improved tensile strength (362MPa) and good tensile ductility (10.7%).
Journal ArticleDOI
Hygrothermal aging, fatigue and dynamic mechanical behavior of cellulosic particles reinforced one-component moisture curable polyurethane adhesive joints
Lakshmana Rao Bhagavathi,Lakshmana Rao Bhagavathi,Abhijit P. Deshpande,G.D. Janaki Ram,Sushanta Kumar Panigrahi +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a one-component moisture curable polyurethane (PU) adhesive was reinforced with microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) and sawdust green fillers.
