Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibitory Effect of Stevioside on Tumor Promotion by 12- O -Tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate in Two-Stage Carcinogenesis in Mouse Skin
TL;DR: Four steviol (ent-kaurene-type diterpenoid) glycosides, stevioside, rebaudiosides A and C, and dulcoside A, have been isolated from Stevia rebaudiana BERTONI and showed strong inhibitory activity against 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced inflammation in mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibitors of nitric oxide production from hops (Humulus lupulus L.).
TL;DR: The inhibitory effect of extracts from Humulus lupulus L. on both the production of NO and the expression of inducible NO synthase (iNOS) in mouse macrophage RAW 2647 cells was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prenylflavonoids and phloroglucinol derivatives from hops (Humulus lupulus)
TL;DR: The ethyl acetate soluble fraction of hops (Humulus lupulus) showed potent inhibitory activity on the production of nitric oxide (NO) induced by a combination of LPS and IFN-gamma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibitory Effects of Constituents from Morus alba var. multicaulis on Differentiation of 3T3-L1 Cells and Nitric Oxide Production in RAW264.7 Cells
TL;DR: The prenyl-flavonoids 11–14, 16, triterpenoids 17,18 and 20 showed significant inhibitory activity towards the differentiation of 3T3-L1 adipocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
(+)-α-Viniferin, an anti-inflammatory compound from Caragana chamlagu root.
Susumu Kitanaka,T. Ikezawa,Ken Yasukawa,Sakae Yamanouchi,Michio Takido,Hwan Kil Sung,Il Hyuk Kim +6 more
TL;DR: An ether extract was fractionated with monitoring of the anti-inflammatory activity, and the active principle was elucidated as (+)-alpha-viniferin on the basis of spectroscopic data, including two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance and circular dichroism spectra.
